Description: Located at the epicenter of Universal's CityWalk®, Emeril's bustling eatery overlooks the park's lagoon and all of the action of this thriving Orlando hot spot. The free standing two-story building is a high-energy, creative environment for fine food and wine, with soaring thirty-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, stone walls, and iron staircase that lend the feel of an industrial warehouse loft. At the center of this modern food studio is an open kitchen and chef's food bar, where lucky guests can watch up close, the chefs at work. The restaurant's second floor offers two private party rooms that feature oak barrel slat ceilings, a 10,000 bottle wine gallery, and an intimate chef's tasting room that seats 8.

Want a meal that is BAM! This is so good, you can eat it off a bumper. Let’s kick it up a notch! and Oh yeah, babe! Then Emeril’s Orlando is the spot for you when in the Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Universal CityWalk area. Service here was top notch, prices decent, kid friendly, and meal was BAM – TASTY. Below is what I had to eat: Swordfish croquette, New Orleans Barbecue Shrimp with Florida white shrimp and petite rosemary biscuit, CRISPY DUCK WINGS with sticky chili glaze and blue cheese vinaigrette, Shrimp & Grits with Louisiana shrimp, étouffée, anson mills rice grits and local cherry tomatoes, and EMERIL’S BANANA CREAM PIE with Graham Cracker Crust, Caramel Sauce, and Chocolate Shavings. Oh yeah babe!

Catfish PO’ Boy and kids pizza did the trick to appease appetite. Flavorful and out of the ordinary. Butter for bread came out pretty cold and hard for the level of service.

We have been to many of Emeril’s restaurants and found this one to be the least like able. Service was impeccable as always at his restaurants but the food was lackluster and left us unimpressed. We had the 4 for $48. We were greeted with a Tuna Tartare Amuse Bouche which was delicious. My soup was yummy but my cornbread was dry. I asked for shrimp and grits but got served the short rib. I should have kept it because I am convinced my shrimp was not done. The andouille sausage was dry and gross. The grits were nummy but non of it was hot which was a recurrence throughout the meal. Hubby had very good mushroom pasta, a blah salad and the short ribs which were definitely the best thing about our meal. The dessert was excellent banana cream pie and key lime pie. My coffee was refilled with lukewarm coffee so I had to ask for a new cup. So, I will stick to Emeril’s in New Orleans where it is done right. BTW, your men’s bathroom was dirty and gross according to hubby.

Booked for Thanksgiving meal as it was close to our hotel. We are from UK, so have never heard of Emeril. We were happy with the food - nice and tasty, although quite pricey. $100 for two main courses, 2 sweets and 2 beers. Would have expected to have paid about half that in the UK for what we got. The waiters gave a quick service and were polite. The downside to the experience was that we were seated at a table in a conservatory which was a little on the cold side. The family sitting opposite us, kept their coats on throughout their meal.

Our server was wonderful and the food tasted pretty good, but the kitchen seemed totally overwhelmed. My family — including 3 kids — had to wait about 15 minutes past our reservation time (not a big deal) to be seated.

Because we were all tired, we ordered promptly. A side dish (tasty roasted Brussels sprouts) arrived quickly. And then nothing more for about 70 minutes. Our kids literally fell asleep at the table. The server offered comped drinks and dessert, but we just wanted our food so we could go back to the hotel and get the kids to bed.

Server — 5 stars
Food — 3 stars
Kitchen management — 0 stars
