“Flower Festival time at Disney, FL”

Four of us travelled to DisneyWorld Florida for the Spring Garden Festival and concert series. We stayed at the Boardwalk Villas since you can easily walk to the Epcot entrance and the HollyWood Studios Park entrances. We shared a two bedroom unit with a full kitchen, multliple bathrooms (3) two porches/lanais. The room was very clean; the hotel was quiet and clean and offered several types of opportunities to enjoy your vacation: you could walk to the parks, swim in the pools, take a shuttle to the Marketplace, play miniature golf, dine in restaurants ranging from a hot dog at the booth to excellent table service at Kat Kora's restaurant or the noise and excitement at the ESPN Club. We enjoyed visits to the Yacht Club and Beach Club across the lake from the Boardwalk. I would encourage any reader who is thinking of visiting WDW to stay at this fine hotel. Note: There are two sides to the hotel - one has hotel rooms and no kitchens and the other, the Villas, has studios, one bedroom units, two bedroom units and a grand vacation home with 3 bedrooms. I would definitely recommend the Villas.

We got to stay here a couple of nights of our trip. The little kitchen and huge bathroom were great for families. Plenty of thunderstorms so the washer and dryer were well used. The mattresses were too hard, considering it is a deluxe resort. Two huge balconies with a view of the waterway and the dolphin swan resort. Hallways are long but didn't bothers us. If you have an older relative traveling(or little ones), you might want to make sure you are closer to lobby. The clown slide and pool were a lot of fun. There was no lifeguard at the top to supervise people getting on the slide. A potentially dangerous situation. A lot of restaurants to choose from on boardwalk. Even some quick service choices. We would stay here again.

My family of four and I spent a week in a 1 bedroom villa overlooking the small pool at the resort.

The room was very nice. We enjoyed the beach cottage theme and the layout of the villa was interesting and functional. The room featured a small kitchen, living room, bedroom and a large bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink in one room and a separate whirlpool bath, walk-in closet and vanity in another. You could even open some shutters and watch the bedroom TV while soaking, something my kids thought was a great novelty. We also found the room to be clean and well kept. The only exception was the two pretzel sticks we found when we pulled out the couch to recover an item that fell behind.

The resort itself was great. The main pool had a circus theme with a huge water slide shaped like an old roller coaster and poolside bar that looked like a carousel. There was also a "community center" with games for the kids. On the Boardwalk you find a variety of restaurants, shops and activities.

One of my main complaints about Walt Disney World is the sheer size of the place. This makes transportation around the various parks and attractions an important consideration. The Epcot resorts (including the Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin) all share a great central location. Epcot was a short walk, Hollywood a short boat ride and it was only a quick bus trip to most everywhere else with the exception of the Magic Kingdom which was best reached by catching the Monorail from Epcot (on the opposite side of the park).

Service at the hotel was as excellent. Help was there whenever you needed it without being under foot. To be fair however, our trip went so smoothly we never really put them to the test.

If I was disappointed with any aspect of our stay it was the food. We had hoped that with all of the choices around the resort we could find something better than mass produced theme park dining. Perhaps, if we had been on the ball enough to book reservations weeks in advance (and spent upwards of $70 a plate), we could have, but by the time we were there our choices were limited. And don't even get me started about the coffee (ick), just bring your own.

Room Tip: This is a sprawling facility so ask to be close to the pthings that are important to you.

Hubby and I just returned from a 6 night stay in a Studio Villa. This was our 4th or 5th time to stay at the Boardwalk; we love the area and the fact we can walk to Epcot/WorldShowcase.

The Boardwalk Resort never seems to show wear and tear - everything is always spotless and the employees are so nice. We used online check-in and arrived about 4 p.m. - we were given our room key and the location was magnificent with a boarwalk view and on the lobby floor just down from the elevators.

We will stay here over and over again; we love it!!!

We decided on the Boardwalk villas for our first part of our Disney trip. We stayed here back in 1996 right after it opened. Everything is still as amazing as it was back then. We enjoyed our 1 bedroom villa overlooking the main themed pool. It was definitely enough room for the 5 of us with the kids sleeping on the pull-out couch in the living room giving us much needed time together after long days at the park. Having the separate access to the bathroom/tub area was also helpful.
Everyone was eager to help from the front desk to the valet to everyone in the restaurants. My children loved ESPN so much that we ate there several nights. It was a nice treat to be able to come back after a day in the parks and relax on the boardwalk and watch the "street entertainment" that was available.
We will definitely return in the future!
