We have been to Walt Disney World many times over the years and have stayed at all levels of their properties. This was our second stay at Pop Century and we enjoyed it every bit as much as our first visit here. It's fun. No the rooms aren't huge but they are more than adequate. All value resort rooms now have refrigerators and flat screen televisions. They also offer free Wi-Fi now. We stayed in the 90's section and it was a bit of a hike to the food court area but on the upside, it was very close to a quite pool.

The food courts at the value properties offer a wide variety fare so even the pickiest of eaters should be able to find something. You can purchase a refillable mug for around $ 14....that gets you unlimited refills of soda, tea and coffee (Disney needs to get real coffee instead of Nescafe)
These refills are good ONLY at the resort's food court. I recommend buying one if you plan on visiting the food court often as many do. CAUTION- The food court has an almost frantic feel in the morning as everyone is darting around to the various food and beverage stations.

We had our own vehicle so we did not use the bus system. The Pop Century does not share buses with the other resorts as do the All-Star properties. However, this doesn't mean that the buses won't be crowded...you might even have to stand going to or returning from the theme parks. If you have your own vehicle, you will be given a parking pass at check-in and will not be charged to park at the theme parks.

The resort is whimsically themed and the grounds are immaculately kept. Housekeeping was excellent!

Pop Century is a great resort choice and one I would easily make again.

Room Tip: If you want to be close to the food court, pay the extra money for the "preferred room" section located in the 60's section of the resort.

This was our first Disney trip and given the crazy prices for lodging, we decided to go the Value route. I could not have been more pleased with our choice. Yes, the rooms are small, but very clean and the beds are very comfortable. We spent pretty much all day (from rope drop to 4-5pm) at the parks and then got back to use the pool so room size really wasn't an issue for us. The hippy dippy pool was so much fun for the kids...they usually have fun music playing and activities to be a part of. The activities are kept at a great volume too so they're not overpowering at the poolside for those not participating. We stayed in a preferred, non pool view room and it was worth it. A very short distance (a plus for a BIG resort) to the dining hall and bus route. The buses were a great way to get to the parks. We only had one REALLY long wait back to Pop from Hollywood but, otherwise can't complain a bit. The Magical Express was a fantastic perk. The refillable mugs were an awesome deal--we used ours daily on our pool trips. One tip---when going to the dining hall...especially at dinner---sit over near the dessert/bakery area. It is far less crowded/noisy, has a small kid area for the kids to sit and is just a bit more pleasant/less cafeteria-ish. Overall, it was a bright, cheery, friendly, clean and great experience for our first family trip to Disney. The kids (and the grown ups too) loved it! Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Try to get a preferred room, non pool side for less noise and closer proximity to main building. You won't regret it!!

Just got back from my first stay at pop and it was wonderful! As a veteran of Disney world and of the hotels there this is by far my favorite value resort! My room was in the 1950's section on the first floor. Very nice was close to the main building which was a nice change from being in the country section of all star music last year. Food at the hotel was good as well. Get the refillable nugs they are def a money saver in the long run! Room size is okay. Had two adults in my party think it would get crowded fast with more than that. All in all a great stay and I will def recomend this hotel to anyone!!

I was a little nervous about staying at a "value" resort, but I shouldn't have been! Our room, as well as the whole resort, was clean and comfortable. The transportation to the parks and the food at the food court were amazing. My 6 yo especially enjoyed the towel art and the fun activities at the pool. I couldn't find a single reason to spend more money to stay at a "moderate" resort. We are planning another DW trip for next year and are definitely going to stay at Pop!
