We actually stumbled upon this Hotel due to an overbooking of a sister Hotel when we got there last spring break. This is a world class hotel near everything while we were visiting Seaworld. The Restaurants, the Bar, the Pool Area, the Spa are all spectacular!

We picked this hotel because we were only staying one night, so that we could go to Disney. The location of this hotel is great. It's located on the nicer, not as busy, end of International Drive and less than five minutes away from the I4 which will take you to any of the theme parks in minutes. Also, it is connected to the convention center across the street via skywalk.
Check in was a breeze and the front desk employees were extremely nice and cheerful.
As for the actual room itself, it was very clean. No issues with anything at all. The room had very nice furnishing, a decent sized mini fridge, shampoo, soap, and other toiletries.
The only con I can think of is that the parking is in a garage in the back. There is more than sufficient parking, but it can be quite the trek walking all the way from the garage to the front where the elevators to the rooms are located. However, that wasn't too big of a deal for us since we packed lightly.

We stayed here two nights. Approach has fountains and large valet drive-up. There is also self-park for about $13.50 per night in the covered parking ramp. The room was lovely, clean and had a mini-fridge which was convenient. The pool is beautiful and just huge. There are plenty of chairs and jacuzzi. Spa onsite, but I didn't try that. There is a little pool for children, but I didn't see any there. This is more of a conference center atmosphere with mostly adults. Bathroom was updated with marble. Plenty of towels. Only complaint is about the pillows...two were feather and very prickly, so bring your own pillows. The other pillow was typical and just fine. The hotel should get better pillow protectors or ditch the feather pillows entirely.

The food at the restaurant buffet for meals was very good with lots of fresh fruit, hearty breakfast options. We didn't end up eating lunch there, since we were out and about at those hours. There is a trolley service that runs up and down International Blvd. and takes you to shopping and entertainment areas. Go to Walgreens on the corner and get a full day ride pass for only $4. Otherwise it is just $1.25 to your destination on the map. Maps are by the benches at each stop. The trolley stops just outside the hotel. The Premium Outlets are great, you'll shop to your heart's content there and then just take the trolley back to the hotel. The trolley stop is over by the J. Crew area.

Room Tip: Try the upper floors, if you want a nice view, ask for pool view.

I stayed at this hotel twice, in November 2010 and in November 2011 for 5 nights each time. I was here for a conference both times and the hotel is perfectly equipped for that.
The hotel staff is very friendly and there are a variety of restaurants inside that serve good food, especially the sushi restaurant and the seafood one (but they are on the pricey side).
There are lots of good restaurants in walking distance if you want to eat outside the hotel (some of them a 5 min walk and some of them a 15 min walk).
The bar area is also clean, comfortable and cozy. Parking is also nice and convenient, not expensive at all ($10 per day).
The hotel pool is very clean, there are lots of chairs by the pool and there are also tables and chairs where you could sit and relax or eat (some in full sun, some in the shade).
The rooms are bigger than other hotels I stayed at in Orlando. Both times I stayed at this hotel the rooms and the bathrooms were spotless. There is a safe in the room and some rooms also come with a refrigerator. The first time I stayed here I had a room on the 17th floor and the second time a room on the 15th floor, therefore my rooms were very quiet.
Downtown Disney is also a short car ride or bus ride. It is easy to get to Disney parks also if you have a car. If not, the only free shuttle you get from the hotel is to the Sea World, which is about 1 mile away from the hotel.
If you are in town on business, this is a good hotel to stay at. If you are here for the Disney parks, I would recommend staying in Lake Buena Vista.

As a travel professional I'm in Orlando regularly as well as spending around 100 nights per year in hotel rooms.

The Good Stuff:
Hotwire deals for well under $100.
All employees I encountered were friendly and professional; especially the vales.
Public areas, pool, restaurants and bars look recently updated and pretty. Everything was clean, smelled nice and comfortable.
My king room was large and nicely renovated with tastful furnishings, granite surfaces, fridge and totally clean.
Hotel is connected to the east/west wing of the convenction center and across from the north/south wing.

Areas that fell short:
Difficult to sleep due to little sound proofing/paper thin walls. You'll hear everything in the hallway, neighboring rooms and plumbing in the walls.
Bed linens and pillows are cheep; not to 4 star standards.
Maid did'nt leave toiletries 2 out of 5 days.
$13.00 per day for self parking is expensive for Orlando.
Deli offers little healthy/modern options; mostly pizza and sandwiches.

Conclusion: Would recommend with a Hotwire rate and needing to be close to the convection center. For vacationers and travel with family you'll be happier somewhere else at a true 4 star property...
