“our fave waterpark”

I love this waterpark so much better than Blizzard Beach. I find it much more relaxing. We tend to spend hours here whereas with BB we're out in 2 hours, maybe less. Plus BB is very exhausting. At TL you get the shark reef swim, a lot of fun. You get the awesome wave pool. For those that dont like the strong waves, rest assures, they turn off the waves every 30 min.

“great water park, brilliant wave pool”
Reviewed 24 February 2012

Visited in August 2011 when TL had extra Magic hours, arrived at 8am

Did Crush n’ Gusher ride ( single or double tube rides ) about 4 times before the Q’s built up. One of my favourite water rides.

We then headed over to do the other rides:

Gangplank Falls – A family raft ride. Better than it looks, but still quite short.

Keelhaul Falls – A very tame and slow ride. Not worth the wait.
Mayday Falls – This is a much better ride. I felt you really needed to hold on tight to your tyre to keep control.

Myself and my son (14 ) then did Humunga Kowabunga. ( You lay flat on your back) It is a very step drop and I’m not sure either of us really enjoyed this.

We both did Storm Slides, again you lay flat on your back, not such a steep drop as Humunga.

We then met my wife and 2 daughters in Lazy river and spent about 1 hour going round. We then all did the “Shark Reef” swimming with sharks. This is OK, but nothing special.

Had lunch and then spent the next 3 hours between the lazy river and the wave pool. son(14) and daughter (12) have always really loved the wave pool and this year my youngest daughter (8) was also really into it. It is great fun just diving into the big waves. Myself, son and older daughter had a competition to see who can stay the closet to their original spot when the wave sweeps over you.
Overall very relaxing.

Heavy rains came about 3pm, but we just stayed in the wave pool. It was great fun. At one time I could hardly see anything as the rains were so heavy.

After about 15 minutes the pools were cleared because of the threat of lightening. We took shelter, but after about 45 minutes when it showed no signs of easing off we decided to head to the car and back to the hotel in our swimming things. We had shared our shelter with 2 very pleasant lifeguards from Morocco and Australia.

Like the other parks, Typhoon Lagoon does have a very good younger kids play area.

“Quiet Swim Day!”

It starts off quiet but gets extremely busy and people put chairs all around you. Love the trip around the lazy river.

“Best water park in Orlando!”
Reviewed 23 February 2012

It has tropical island setting with a lot of shade and fun water rides. Well organized and family friendly. It has a lot of different water activities and not much waiting in lines. Nice shower and lockers facilities.

“Love the typhoon”

Good fun. Even if you don't bring kids, this place has the great Disney feel with the fun of the slides. Not crazy scary rides, but still fun.
