We had a nice view from our balcony and the room was very clean. The check-in was very friendly. The location around the public dock with some restaurants and shops is very nice. We loved to stayed here.

Parking is absolutely horrendous. Rooms were just average and bathrooms were clean but need updating. Breakfast was good at the onsite breakfast. Tiki bar service catered only to the regulars. The first night we were there we waited 15 minutes for a drink."Oh, sorry, can I help you.?" Yes are there any specials.?"" Be right back. " Yikes never felt welcome unless you are a yacht club drunken old man.

Room tip: You need to call first. They play bait and switch.

Best pancakes in the whole world. Always a wait, but the time goes fast as you can go outside and look at all the boats. Nice people work at The Cove! This place is a must if you are in Naples!!!! Don't miss it, you won't regret it!

The Cove Inn overlooks the City Marina and Naples Bay You get to enjoy the view while relaxing at the pool or the poolside Chickee Bar and from your own balcony from most rooms. There are a variety of room types and all are spacious. There are a number of good restaurants very close, including The Boat House and The Dock, which both overlook the water. The Cove Inn is in walking distance of Fifth Avenue, Third Street as well as the Naples Pier and beaches on the Gulf.

Room tip: Make sure you ask for water view.

Completed another very good stay at The Cove Feb. 15-28, 2017. We skipped Naples in 2016 to stay in Marathon on the Keys but came back to Naples this year. It's just nicer.

I have written several reviews on this property so I will provide just an update this time.

We had a spacious and clean room for the duration. Parking is free and sometimes ample, except for around 4PM - 7 PM when patrons of the two restaurants at each end of the property start filling-in, assisted at one end (The Boathouse restaurant) by valet parking attendants who watch empty spots like vultures, ready to snap them up as soon as vacated. Oh well.

The Cove Inn remains a quiet, low-key resort with a laid-back vibe that we really enjoy. Dealt with Doug at the front desk, a very professional, knowledgeable and helpful person. Thank you, Doug, for your help. All staff we met were helpful and pleasant.

The Cove is not a cookie-cutter hotel, so if you are looking for that, look elsewhere. It is a unique experience in Old South Naples, with unique condo-rooms, individually owned. Internet speed is crazy-good (20-30 mbps) for a hotel. (2-3 mbps is the norm)

A couple of minor irritants prevent a perfect score.

First, the vertical blinds are indeed a deluxe pain. PLEASE, unit owners, follow the lead of some of your fellow unit-owners and upgrade to actual curtains or modern blinds. I lost count of how many times I had slats fall onto the floor and had to be reattached to the clips on the railing. These blinds are used often during a typical day, entering and exiting the balcony.

And second, parking. The Cove shares its parking lot with 2 restaurants and I'm sure some folks (who aren't staying at The Cove) also park there to attend events in Old South. If your timing is right, you'll get a spot. If not, you won't. Of course, in June, I'm sure parking is plentiful! In February, not so much.

Bottom line....we are already reserved for 2018.....that should tell you something.
