Had dinner at Tremain''s at the Lake Side Inn on Wednesday night and if you are looking for a very relaxed great experience with great food and music, this is the place!
We had Janet as our server and she is five star service all the way.
We had a group of seven and she was really on top of her game!
The hotel staff really takes pride in making the Lake Side Inn a real gem to Mount Dora.
Thanks again!
Gordon.

The architecture and location are wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn. The only problem we had was the damp smell of the room. We wish that they had more historic photos to display in the hallways. The food was a great surprise, absolutely delicious! We have already booked another stay in January.

If you like jazz and "old standards" be sure to visit the Lakeside Inn on Fridays. The music/vocals are wonderful - located in the Tremaine Room. The food was outstanding! I had the encrusted salmon and the other guests had the chicken roulade - which I tasted. Both were simply outstanding. This is the 2nd time we have visited and we were completely satisfied. Additionally, the drinks and the service were also wonderful. I highly recommend Friday Jazz Night!

Needs some updating, especially mattresses and carpeting. Water temp in shower kept changing. Even though this is an old, historic building, those things should be kept up. Staff did no inform us of code for pool, breakfast options, or even that coffee was av available in the morning. Again, something that does not have anything to do with being an old historic building. It is called hospitality. We did not expect shiny and new. We love B & B's and the history behind them. So, only a 3

This is an old inn but the owners are trying to keep the historical feel of the inn, yet making it comfortable. Our room was clean and very comfortable. It was just a few steps from the pool and dock and also close to the main building which houses check-in, the lounge and the restaurant. We were planning on eating at some restaurants in town, but after our first dinner at the Lakeside Inn, we were sold and ate all our meals there. I had the best BBQ pork chop ever. The portions were generous and delicious. We had breakfast on the porch and it was beautiful. Even better than the food was the wait staff. They were just the nicest folks around....Katie, Justin, etc. The grounds are beautiful. Short 1 block walk to the shopping area. Also recommend the Mt. Dora Canal Boat trip which docks right at the Inn. Great happy hour also. If in the area, we will stay there again.
