“Charming B&B Inn”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2012

We were greeted with a warm hug by bubbly owner Ana Tuttle. It was our second stay at the inn, and we definitely will return. We've stayed in Dick's room and Miss Elsie's room and found them both to be immaculate with very comfortable beds. All the rooms have tv/dvd and an antique chest in the dining room is chock full of dvds to choose from if you are so inclined. After a night out exploring Mt. Dora, we found a sliced cake and bottled water very thoughtfully set out for the inn's guests. So sweet! The highlight of staying at the inn is the gourmet breakfast served at 9AM. It's a nice chance to commune with other guests (the inn has 4 rooms) and Jim, Ana and Jaime Holley are amazing cooks! It's obvious they love what they do and care about their guests. We felt loved and pampered, and can't wait to go back to the charming town of Mt. Dora and the Historic Inn!

Room Tip: Dick's room is the largest, Miss Elsie's has a nice soaking tub. Beds and pillows were quite...

About theThe B&B : The Mount Dora Inn is lovely, clean and cozy. It provides you with warm and friendly service that makes you feel right at home. Great customer services and delicious hot breakfast. The B&B is located in the historic downtown. The owner is very caring and friendly. She makes sure her guesses are happy and comfortable.
There are few great restaurants just few steps from the B&B.

About the town: Mount Dora is a little old town with little tiny stores and great restaurants. Most stores close around 6pm, however the restaurants are open until 11:00pm and some have life entertainment. There is a great restaurant on fourth avenue by the water
(Pisces Rising). The food was delicious. Also the Mexican restaurant ( Fiesta Grande) across the street from the B&B . The Frog and Monkey serves great burgers. This one is located on Donnelly Street which is the main street.

Parking Lot: Comfortable parking lot for cars or bikes.
We stayed during Leesberg Bike Festival. The drive to and from Leesberg was an easy drive from Mount Dora.

Thanks Ana for making us feel special. I highly recommend this place to stay and will return in a near future

Room Tip: I saw all the rooms as we were a group of friends staying in the same place and all the rooms were c...

We were delighted with our stay and definitely plan to return. In just two days, Ana's genuine hospitality won us over, not to speak of her excellent gourmet breakfasts created by Jim and prepared by Ana. I have a number of food allergies, and Ana went out of her way to serve me what I could eat, making it beautiful as well as delicious. This charming little house felt just like home. The bed was comfortable, and in the late afternoons we enjoyed sitting on the porch and reading. My husband and I highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: We slept in the downstairs room, and although it was near the kitchen, it was very quiet.

We visited Mount Dora for a wedding and stayed in the Ivy Cottage which is part of the Inn but not the Bed and Breakfast part. The Cottage was great, roomy, clean and comfortable, perfect for our weekend visit. It had a full kitchen with everything you need to make meals. Bring what you are going to cook, there are no grocery stores in downtown Mount Dora, you will have to drive to a store if you need something.
My only complaint and it's not about the Inn , I could not find a place to by a newspaper in the whole downtown. When on holiday I like to sit outside, drink a cup of coffee and read the paper. Something I don't have time for normally.
The location of the Inn is perfect. You can walk to everything in downtown. Great time. Will return.

Room Tip: It's best to stay in downtown Mount Dora if you plan to visit the shops since you can walk to ev...
