This is the fourth Nobu I've been to and I was kind of disappointed. My group ate in the main dining room then heard there was a "happy hour" in the hotel lobby, which apparently is turning into the Nobu hotel. We decided for a couple more small plates and drinks since they were on special (some items 20$ cheaper than the original menu) I understand there was only one girl for the entire lounge in the lobby but it took 15/20 minutes and for us to move closer to her station before we were offered a menu. So we order, all of which are items off he happy hour menu and we're ordering pointing at the happy hour section. Our plates come, around 6 or 7, we eat, the bill comes and the waitress didn't honor any prices. She decided herself, without notice, that the plates would be too small for my group of 3 people and she would go ahead and order us the full sized dishes at full price to save us the hassle of ordering more than one dish. What a scam! I can see a tourist not even thinking about it and paying for it, but after the manager came over and apologized (also telling us the dishes were too small!!) the price difference was around $70. I guess that's what happens when you don't have to work for your tips, a grotesquely unjust 18% was automatically included for this subpar service. The tuna crispy rice, and the sushi rolls, only came with 6 pieces, so I really can't imagine what the "happy hour" portion comes with. If we wanted the full price dishes we would've ordered them while we were inside the restaurant, what's the point of the happy hour if she's just going to charge us for the regular dishes? The quality of the food however, was consistent with the other locations and we ate like kings.
