“skip this place”
Reviewed 5 March 2012

I would have to agree with the other people on here that say skip this place and the people are out to make a buck, people not friendly at all and some are very rude. there is another place 1 mile down the road called Cooper Town Airboats, these people are much nicer and enjoy making people happy on their vacations, they also have a small gator you can hold and I dont remember them charging for you taking a picture, we took a pic and it was free! Coopertown takes you out further into the everglades and stops more to look at the gators and birds. I had wanted to do the private tour but just didnt want to spend that much money so I did the regular tour with Gator Park and with Coopertown, Coopertown much much better!!

Worth the ride as we saw alligators (the kids actually held one!) and tropical birds during the airboat ride, which was a lot of fun. Our guide was knowledgable and entertaining, the show about the Everglades and its residents informative (we met a celebrity skunk and had a chance to kiss a frog!), and the birds strolling the grounds and perched in the banyon trees (beautiful peacocks, ducks, and chickens) were fun to watch.

“just okay”
Reviewed 27 February 2012

The airboat operator was bored with his job. He probably does these 30 min. rides 20+ times a day. Same tourist questions day after day, no enthusiasm. Very basic wildlife show after. Costs $3 to get a pic. holding a gator. Just ok

“Lacking in Wild Gators”
Reviewed 27 February 2012

This park is ideal for families with young children, if you want to view gators in captivity. The air boat ride was about the most enjoyment I, a man over 45, got out of this visit. One can see a lot more gators in the wild by stopping along 8th street on the way to the park.

“Fun visit”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

I have never been to the everglades so on our last cruise we wanted to check it out.

The weather was quite cold so our experience might have been different than you might normally see. The airboat tour was pretty fun. The guide was funny and gave a good tour. We saw a couple alligators, a couple turtles and 3 varieties of birds.

The show afterward was pretty funny as the host had a voice like a muppet. We took the opportunity at the end of the show to hold an alligator which was fun. There was a small fee for this.

There are some alligators in cages behind the main area that we viewed and a peacock wandering the property. This is a tour worth doing if you have not been to the everglades before. The drive from Miami should be at least 30 minutes if not longer.
