My daughter picked this as one of the hotels for the wedding guests to stay. The rooms are big but there is no electrical outlets in the bathroom. The rooms were freezing cold and the thermo could not do the adjustment. We turned the temp all the way up 85 degree it still felt like stayed in the freezer. The front desk gave us two choices to turn the air off or give us an extra blanket. The housekeep didn't come to clean until late afternoon. We would not go back to the hotel anymore.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was friendly. We paid for the soaking tub but it was not set up. We were told that someone would be up to our room shortly, but no one came. Then we were told it would be set up the next day and that didn't happen either.

This is generally a good hotel located in Coconut Grove, a 10 min drive from Miami. The check in process was smooth but at other occasions it looked very crowded when passing through the lobby. There were only maximum two persons working in the reception and most of the times only one person.
We didn’t have breakfast included in the room rate and the breakfast was very expensive so we decided to eat breakfast elsewhere. Parking was also very expensive since they only offers valet parking. However the parking fees in the mall’s garage across the street were OK so we ended up parking there every time. The only negative with that is that you can’t go in and out without picking up a new ticket.
The size of our room was good, spacious with a large balcony and also the bathroom felt spacious. I liked the layout of the room but it was unfortunately extremely dirty. Bathroom was OK but the floor was like it was situated next to a sandy beach. We actually ended up having our flip-flops on inside to avoid the dirt. We spent one week at the hotel and the two first days we asked the persons in the reception to note that the floor needed to be cleaned better and although they were extremely surprised that the floor was dirty, it didn’t get any better and after that we didn’t have the energy to tell them again.
The best thing with this hotel is the rooftop pool area. It was very nice to spend some hours there, getting some sun and a swim in the (icecold) pool. They also have an excellent bar up there from which you could order drinks and food.
This is a nice hotel if you get it to a good price.

The service is amazing, location is perfect, the hotel grounds are just gorgeous, I think of it as Tropical Elegance. I was so pleased with everything about the hotel that I decided to book my wedding here! Cant wait to be back for my special day in December and have all my Family and friends enjoy this Gorgeous hotel!

I stay in the Grove often for business and decided to try the Mayfair. Excellent location that puts you in walking distance from most of the premiere dining and shopping in the Grove area of Miami. The Mayfair shockingly transforms itself when you walk through its doors into what feels like an 18th century Spanish monastery. The architecture inside is stunning. Service is amateur - the front desk clerks are efficient but not courteous. The restaurant, Spartico, is excellent and offers a wonderful brunch which can be enjoyed in their sidewalk seating. Rooms are definitely the downside. In contrast to their European counterparts they are spacious and come complete with a private hot tub. However, the cold wall to walk tile floors and strange layouts make them anything but comfortable. It's hard to put a finger on, but you feel like you are staying in a hospital or walk in bathroom rather than a luxury hotel. The hot tub, a seemingly decadent room feature, must be filled before use which makes it practically impractical.
