Sits beach front along main road. Total of 3 buildings, 1 kidney shaped swimming pool, 1 large rectangular hot tub, several court yards..... Jimmy and Dianne at desk are awesome. Jimmy did a fantastic magic show saturday night for all to join. The owner Brian is great too. All are very pleasant and helpful. Kept saying "relax, you are on vacation!". The housekeeping and groundskeepers work so hard to keep the property clean and enjoyable for guests..... The doors use push-button coded door locks which was nice not to worry about using a key. There is coffee, a water cooler, donuts and fruit in the office, lots of brochures of local attractions.... We were in room 209. It was clean and decorated nicely. The kitchenette was stocked. The bathroom is a bit on the small side. The shower clean and good water pressure. The fridge kept food and drinks nice and cold....The view is breathtaking!! You see beach and ocean from the 3 large windows in the front and have a great view of the pool from the other two side windows.... There are 3 chairs and a small table outside the room for your use.... They supply clean bath towels as needed....they ask that you place dirty ones you want replaced in the provided basket 9-11am and they will provide fresh.however my husband found it easier just to go to the laundry room and exchange them....The courtyards provide ample tables with umbrellas, chairs, benches, and many charcoal grills for anyone to use. There are lights strung about the area as well. There are rocking chairs and lounge chairs that face the beach along with two additional tables with umbrellas......the walk way to the beach is smooth and a hose is available to clean off your belongings and yourself if needed....There are several different pool floats available for use and there are chairs, lounge chairs and tables around the pool....same at the hot tub....The hot tub is larger and there is seating along half of it.....the jets need a bit of work as a few dont blow very effectively and none of them can be adjusted as far as direction is concerned.....the timer is for 15 minutes and located near the entrance gate so you must exit to turn it on....there is also a beach access with a hose from the jacuzzi.....as far as "negatives" are concerned....i really can't say too much.....the rooms are a bit small but that is minor compared to all the pluses.....the courtyards are awesome but the thing is, many locals come and bring many family members and they seem to "take over" the common areas and those traveling alone are left to find another place to to cook or sit if they are all out...they also leave their belongings strewn all over the area as well....while they played music once i shut my door i didnt hear it (i actually liked their choices of tunes).....also, the pool and jacuzzi close promptly at 9:00pm and that was really disappointing as we love night swimming....especially when the place next door let their people swim as long as they wanted...parking is also limited in front of the building with only one handicapped spot but there is a big lot across the street...my suggestion would be if traveling with many people ask for the schooner side next to the courtyard....if wanting quieter more subdued ask for the courtyard side by the jacuzzi.....also directly behind the pool is an upper and lower places to stay...i think they are multiple bedrooms....wish i would have taken a peek....
one thing for sure you will get friendly service, a clean room, and breathtaking views at the Schooner! ENJOY
