We stayed here over labor day. Campground was approximately 1/2 full. We had a great time. Park hosts were truly awesome (Debbie and Mike). Super friendly, helpful and outgoing. We had an issue with our toilet and they lent us their personal carpet cleaner and cleansers. They also had a great pig roast that was free for campers. There is no beach or pool, although they apparently are doing a major campground upgrade over the next year or so which will include a new pool. Best campsites are on the sea wall. There is a swimming area but bring your water shoes, there are rocks and grass. What made this campground so nice is people have been coming here for years and everyone is super friendly. We had a teenagers and younger kids and they all enjoyed it. If you have a boat its even better as they have a boat ramp and you can trailor or dock it there. Bring all your food or a car as there is only one restaurant nearby.

This is an old park designed for smaller travel trailers and tents--nice location--ZERO amennities--they say they can get class motorhomes in (with a shoe horn) over hanging limbs scratched our coac and our friends--They insist on guideing you into the spaces, our friends got in ok, but very tight----as the guide was waving his arm to guide us away from their elec on the right of us ,,he ran us right into a picnick bench hanging over on our left side causing damage to the front bumper on our coach--He was very very apologetic assured me some one would come over from there insurance co.and take care of it. 2 days later went to office and talked to mgr, she called owner and some one would come over--( never happened ) 2 days latter when we left the owner said to send info to his ins co--we did --their investigation determined the guide had never done anything like that ande he had rewcanteed his whole story!!!!! REAL QUALITY PEOPLE AND OWNER----Also had problems with tent campers playing loud Cuban music day and night---parking boats in the aisles making them impassable--their swimming area WAS ANOTHER JOKE----We were not the only class A campers unhappy--2 others came in the day we did and were going to stay5 days, after 11/2 days they had enough and left----if we had any other options we would have left sooner as well--the Keys were very lovely and we loved Key West, We did not want to miss all the beauty around the area.

Vistied with my husband back in 2008, and going back again now in May 2010 for Memorial Weekend, last time we went we had a great time, our camp site was right by the water, the view at sunrise/sunset was beautiful, our dog loved it cause he got to go swimming alot, everyone was very friendly, and met so many different people from all parts of the states...definitely taking our boat this time around, cause unless you got a boat other than swimming/snorkeling and taking in the views not much else to do at campground, you will need to drive elsewhere for entertainment, which wasn't too bad we took the 1 hour drive south to Key West and had lunch and walked around the town. Overall a great stay, can't wait to go again, just love the keys =)

We stayed at Jolly Roger Travel Park located on the north end of the town of Marathon, FL in the Keys. All sites have have electric, water and sewer and there are a few tent sites on the water without amenities. All sites are grass with a concrete patio area and there are quite a few shady trees on the property. The staff is great. Not much to do on the property unless you are swimming or boating, and not much nearby for walking access. A bicycle trail leads to downtown Marathon, but its about a 7 mile trek. This park looks better than neighboring RV parks and the prices are reasonable for the Keys. Just over an hour to Key West is a great opportunity for day trips without the cost of staying further south.
