Owner description: monument to the hundreds who died in the Great Labor Day Hurricane of 1935.
Reviewed 29 January 2012

The key is about four miles long and a quarter mile wide. It isn't hard to see how devastating a hurricane could be to the population, especially in 1935.

We had to check this monument out. Beautiful area for such a massive historical event.

Pretty plain but it is interesting to read the history of the hurricane and the lives lost. Not a destination stop IMHO.

Small monument that is worth a very brief stop if you're passing bye. Half a block in size and free. Really not something to go out of your way to see.
