On the South end of Islamorada, right on US1 is the historical Green Turtle Inn. One of the longest standing restaurants in the Upper Keys, and a must do place for someone coming to Key Largo or Islamorada.
They have a huge variety of options on the menu. I've been there several times and tried a few things. The beef raviol has been one of my favorites! The flavors are amazing! I've ordered a burger that was flippin awesome too. I think it had duck in it, or foie gras, but it was so good too. I'm not a huge fan of their "famous" meatloaf. Its supposed to be a fan fave, but the bbq sauce was a little overpowering, and it had a lot of it.
Our service has been consistently pretty good. Its a very casual restaurant with pictures all over the wall of people who have caught fish in the Keys. The atmosphere is nice. Popular with the locals, but not a "local bar". It can get busy, but the staff seem to be on it, and we've never had to wait more than a couple minutes for a table.
When you're done with dinner, get the dessert! Any dessert is fine, just get one!
