We loved staying here for our 20th anniversary. It was peaceful and relaxing and we felt at home. The dogs were friendly and added to the relaxing experience. Everyone was so friendly and we enjoyed meeting the other guests. We hope to return soon with friends. Thanks!

One of the most relaxing vacation in my life. My wife and I spent six days in the Mermaid&Alligator. The location is great, quiet, far enough from the lively Duval street to be peaceful and calm and close enough to walk to the bars, restaurants and festivities of Key West.

The service is simply impeccable. Not even the more minimal detail is overlooked. The garden is just a realm of peace, taste and beauty. The room Caribbean Queen where we stayed is classy, charming, comfortable, spacious,. The bed is large, comfortable with soft linen. The bathroom is just superb.

Everything and everywhere is clean and pristine.

The concierges require special mention, Geri and Rebbeca made our stay in the Hotel and in Key West a memorable experience. I will come bak

Room Tip: All rooms are very good, the ones that are open to the street are a little bit more noisy but still...

Of the many places we've stayed in Key West this was by far the most relaxing. While this property is also smaller than others we have stayed at, the tranquility and service far surpass others. Breakfast was superb! We were slightly hesitant about the innkeepers' dogs but this was never a concern. The entire inn was clean and the dogs were, in fact, extremely well behaved and friendly.
We hope to return in the future.

We traveled to the M&A 2/13/2012 for a Valentine Anniversary trip. This B&B came highly recommended by some friends and it was everything they said and more. From the moment of arrival, we thought Gerri was great. She arranged some things for us ( dinner at Lattitudes on Valentines Day which was wonderful and bike rentals that were very convenient), she served a great breakfast. She was always available, she is a great asset to this guesthouse. Location was perfect for what we wanted to explore. You are on a main street so you can hear some traffic if you have your windows open. Complimentary beach towels and beach bags are available for use, which is very nice. The room was lovely ( Papaya) bed was comfortable, room was clean and bathroom was really nice. Well stocked with lots of towels and amenities. Gardens were really nice and quiet where you can enjoy a glass of wine and just appreciate your surroundings. This was our first trip to Key West but surely not our last. I would highly recommend the M&A. Also the Innkeepers were very nice, as stated in a previous post they do not interject themselves into your vacation, but they were surely attentive to things we would like to talk about. I can not finish this review without mentioning the dogs. They were really well behaved and friendly. Also the church across the street is beautiful. If you get the chance stop in.

This B & B is by far the best that Key West has to offer. I selected this location initially because my husband lived in this house when we met and fell in love in 1971 (his apartment was what is now the Caribbean Queen suite). Unfortunately, he passed away last year and for my 60th birthday, I wanted our children to see the places that held so much meaning to us. However, after our arrival it became much more than just a trip down memory lane. This is a beautifully restored home with every amenity you might imagine having in the most exclusive high rise hotel -- sumptuous linens and towels, beautiful decor, delicious coffee, marvelous breakfast, phenomenal customer care -- but in a wonderfully intimate, delightfully cozy space. Dean, Paul, Rebecca, and Geri made all of us truly feel as though this was our home away from home. The location of this B & B is perfect -- close to everything good that Old Town has to offer but far enough away as well. My only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer!

Room Tip: The Caribbean Queen can be a bit noisy at times since it is right on Truman, but the amenities of th...
