Bahama House was a wonderful choice for a family gathering and week-long vacation in Key West. Its location in a quiet, short street, a block back from Duval Street, provided us with the easiest access to all the restaurants, shopping and nightlife that this famous street has to offer, but with none of the noise or commotion that such an energy-filled environment generates.
The house is modern and very comfortable, but has been crafted with the sensibility of a beautiful old Key West 'conch house'. One bedroom has an en suite bathroom and the other two double rooms share another. The living room on the middle level also has a double sofa bed. We were seven people and found the accommodation to be perfectly adequate with comfortable beds and ample storage. Plentiful soft towels were supplied (beach towels, also) and a large capacity washer and dryer made life easy during our very active week. The kitchen was well-equipped and enabled us to enjoy some good home-cooked meals, all the ingredients of which we were able to buy at Fausto's supermarket barely fifty metres away; meat, fish, deli items, wine, beer are all there along with the usual goods. The back deck and pool are not enormous, but we enjoyed much of our time sitting out here under the palms, or eating dinner cooked on the grill under the stars. The agent, owner and their assistants were friendly and helpful at all times.
We loved our stay here and would do it again in a heartbeat if the chance came by.
We spent Spring Break at the Bahama House and it was perfect for our group. We had 4 adults and 4 teens. Bedrooms were ideal, especially the upstairs room which could fit all the kids in one room. Spent lots of time in the back patio and used the plunge pool often. We were able to walk everywhere which made it great for our teens feeling lots of freedom. Grocery, liquor store and Duval all 1/2 block away!
Kitchen had everything we needed and we had a local chef come in and cook us a Cuban themed dinner. Management company was very accommodating and provided useful recommendations on activities. Well worth the price of the house for our group.
We had an incredible time at the Bahama House in Key West. We were in town for my sister's wedding and our party included my parents, my wife and two young children and my sister and brother-in-law. The location could not have been better with convenient markets, coffee shops and restaurants. The kids spent hours in the heated pool and other family members rented bikes and explored the island. The Owner met us upon arrival and responded to the few requests we had very promptly. I would stay here again without question.
