First I have to say the crew was awesome. Captain Six took us to 3 different locations and Ray the first mate was awesome in helping us fish. I will be doing this again next time I'm in key west. Highly recommend this party boat.

My husband and I enjoyed this experience. The price was unbeatable compared to the other choices at the pier lined up. The trip was about 45 minutes out to the Atlantic and it passed by very quickly. They had mattes that was very helpful and experienced in helping everyone in a quick and timely manner. They filet the fish for you after the trip. We made some lasting friendships with people that we will never forget with other fisherman on the trip. We loved it so much we went twice on the morning trip and the night fishing trip. The sunset was beautiful! You are exposed to the elements of nature at hand but they deal with it accordingly. Two different captains and two different experiences. We enjoyed them both and the experience.

Gulfstream IV is an older boat, but serviceable for a fishing excursion. There was just the captain and one mate on hand for about 20-25 of us --a mix of old/young/experienced/ rookie fisherman. Several smokers. We did have some light rain and then a heavy downpour that lasted about 10 minutes that sent everyone into the covered galley area. I think the boats capacity is 50-60 people-had there actually been that many it would have been uncomfortable with the conditions. The boat did have some rocky moments with big waves-I had taken Dramamine and was ok, but a couple people ended up just laying down and suffering much of the trip. Honestly, no one caught any big fish-mostly Grunts and small Yellowtail. But those are the variables that you can't really plan for-whether fish are biting, the weather, or how many fellow passengers you'll have. I can't say anything negative about the crew, but considering the expense involved, I would probably not be inclined to do this again.
