Gulfstream IV is an older boat, but serviceable for a fishing excursion. There was just the captain and one mate on hand for about 20-25 of us --a mix of old/young/experienced/ rookie fisherman. Several smokers. We did have some light rain and then a heavy downpour that lasted about 10 minutes that sent everyone into the covered galley area. I think the boats capacity is 50-60 people-had there actually been that many it would have been uncomfortable with the conditions. The boat did have some rocky moments with big waves-I had taken Dramamine and was ok, but a couple people ended up just laying down and suffering much of the trip. Honestly, no one caught any big fish-mostly Grunts and small Yellowtail. But those are the variables that you can't really plan for-whether fish are biting, the weather, or how many fellow passengers you'll have. I can't say anything negative about the crew, but considering the expense involved, I would probably not be inclined to do this again.
