Unfortunately, we were only here for three days but were absolutely pleased with the accommodations. The condo was very modern and tastefully decorated. We have stayed in Key Largo on a number of occasions and this location was, by far, the best one yet! You can bet that if we return to Key Largo we hope to be lucky enough to stay here again!

We booked with Bookings.com. We stayed at Mariner's in the past, booked through Travelocity, our unit was beautiful then. This was the reason we rebooked at this hotel. Wow, where we shocked! After we FINALLY got into our room after having to call bookings.com because there were no instructions to get into our unit. The carpets were discusting and needed cleaning or better yet, replaced. Bed sheets were dirty. Luckily there was a washer and dryer in the unit, however, not something I wanted to do on the day we arrived for vacation. We also had to supply our own toilet paper, garbage bags and dish detergent. We have stayed at many other condo's and hotels in the past. This is the first time I ever had to do this.

If you want tranquility this is the place for you! We had a 3 bedroom unit which overlooked the ocean and it was absolutely beautiful. It was very well equipped--fully stocked kitchen, flat screen TV, high end appliances, beach chairs, etc. The owners made sure that whatever we might want on our vacation was there in the condo. There are 2 pools. We spend most of our time at the bigger pool which was a little chilly the first day. A maintenance man did come by and say that they had repaired the heater and then the pool was nice and warm the next couple of days. This is a "gated" community so expect to have to be let in and out when you enter or leave the premises. Also expect to be totally on your own as there is no office or on site personnel to make requests to for any questions you may have. I think it is a perfect place for people who want to be left alone and do not want or need to be around other people.

Room Tip: I think this might be hard to do as the units are individually owned. We stayed in room 324 which w...

We (a familly of mom, dad and a teenage boy) stayed there for 5 nights in early November and the place was so quiet. Most of the time we had both swimming pools (huge lagoon pool near the ocean and another rectangular pool near the marina) to ourselves, so it felt like a paradise. The marina/pier area was also great for fishing with kids (catch and release small fish) or relaxing, and even a dolphin showed up one afternoon! Our unit (2 BR & 2 1/2 bath unit on the top floor overlooking the marina/ocean) was nice, with just enough, relatively good quality pieces of furniture. There were 3 large flat screen SONY TVs, 3 walk-in closets, and pretty much everything we needed, but the wash machine, which was critical for us (since we brought only 3 days worth of clothes), was not working and we had a hard time getting help. There is no "guest services" or "front desk" on the property, so all the communications are done through the phone. In the end, they let us use a washer in another unit on the ground floor, and that's how the problem was resolved. The hot tub in the unit was not working either, but since it was kind dangerous to get in/out of it and we enjoyed the outside pools and hot tubs so much we did not care. The safe was not bolted down, so it was useless. There was no house keeping service during the stay unless we requested it and paid $150 a day, so we were on our own. In fact, there was no service whatsoever, so it was like living in your own apartment. In conclusion, this resort served our purpose as a base camp for fishing/diving/kayaking in the area and a place to unwind in a quiet environment. Our overall experience was good because 1) the price was reasonable (slow season), 2) we had a good unit, 3) and we like our privacy and don't mind being on our own, 4) and the security seemed pretty tight which made us feel sefe. We understand that this place is not for everyone, but perfect for us and we'll come back.

Room Tip: Top floor ocean view villas appeard to be better than the others.

When we arrived we requested for an early check-in because we were attending a wedding prior to check-in time and the room was unavailable. When we finally had a chance to check in in the evening time the person at the gate was very rude and uninformed about our stay. It took us an HOUR to check-in because the person at the front gate did not have the required information. The next day when I tried to have my parents come enjoy the day at the pool with us, there were rudely denied entry and I did not have a chance to enjoy the resort the way I wanted. Overall, it was a miserable And frustrating stay. There needs to be better communication between the rental company and the front gate.
