“Not exactly as described”

We stayed in the trailer in january for only 3 nights. The pictures of the property is exactly as you see. However I would not describe the property as flawless. There is some water damage on the ceiling of the master bedroom, and there is NOT a washer or dryer as the property is described. We experienced a MAJOR ANT problem inside the trailer. Nestor was very pleasant on the phone and email correspondent during the process of reserving the property. HE DID NOT meet us at the property as he states in his ad. During our stay, I never met the man. He did leave the door unlocked and requested we phone him once we arrived. We did as requested, and he walked us through what we need to know while staying there. The washer and dryer Nestor refers you to (after I call him to inquire) is for tenants of the building it resides in. i was told this by one of the tenants, and that the dryer didn't work properly. I contacted Nestor on Sunday to explain to him that he should not advertise this property with a W/D, as it is very misleading. I also told him about the ants. Things went down hill from there. He insisted the property was advertised correctly, and that there as a laundromat somewhere in Key Largo. He was not so nice, but he did REFUND our payment and deposit. I expected him to update the property information, but he has choose not to do this. I would not recommend this property to anyone, and I would not stay there again.

GUEST STAYED AT THE PROPERTY: 01/02/14 - 01/05/14 NOT 01/20/14 AS STATED BY GUEST

UNUSUAL EVENTS DURING GUEST STAY: Very Bad Weather; Cold and Rainy.

We encourage Guest reviews by all that visit our Properties. However, we do expect accuracy.

We will commence by establishing the Vacation Rental Business is our Full-Time Occupation.

We do our own Housekeeping, Repairs, Landscaping, and Pest Control, and do work 7 days per week from 4:00A.M. through 7:00P.M.

This is important in understanding our perspective as it pertains to this Guest's comments.

Let's start, on December 29, 2014, the Guest writes uncertainty as to the arrival time to the Property, due to weather, and connecting flights.

On January 1, 2014, we write to the Guest, we would facilitate entry to the Property by leaving it open with the request, the Guest call upon arrival for orientation. This was offered to the Guests to afford flexibility on their arrival time. On the date of arrival, we clean the Property, spray for insects, check all items to ensure they are working. Leave A.C.s, T.V.s, and lights ON, leave door open with keys inside for the Guest

The Guest calls upon arrival, we orient them on the Property, and state to the Guest if they need anything during their stay to please call us.(This is also written in our Reservation Agreement, Guests are to call if they need anything)

On the review, the Guest writes we did not meet her on arrival.Guest does not write, this was precipitated by the Guest travel plans on the arrival date. Further the Guest writes, they never saw us.

Let me explain, we are on the Properties daily, we have Eight (8) other Properties in this community. However at times, it is not uncommon that Guests do not see us as they may be out in the area or inside of their units. We are always available by Telephone, and do stop-in should a Guest need anything.

Please note, the Guest never called after orientation.

The Property has never been marketed as having a Washer and Dryer. In the Web-Site we refer to Gilbert's Resort which is nearby having coin operated machines.

The Telephone Call of Sunday, January 5, 2014, the date of departure was initiated by us in response to a request by the Guest via E-Mail.

The E-Mail was received from the Guest at 8:04 A.M. of Sunday, January 5, 2014, the departure date. We respond and call the Guest within 5 Minutes.

We found the Guest to be extremely aggressive and combative, the more we attempted to reason with her, the more she escalated. She spoke and writes about ants, this is difficult to comprehend, as we spray between Guests, Fog every +/-30Days, and do place soil poisoning outside. We sprayed prior to the arrival of the Guest.

At times when this has occurred, and we are notified by the Guests, what we find is Food on counters, or unwashed dishes. Which we instruct the Guests, and re-spray as needed.

The Guest further writes of water damage in the Master Bedroom Ceiling. We had a small water leak, which was repaired. The inside finishes were repaired as well.

If you look close enough in the interior, there is a slight sag in the ceiling, nothing that is objectionable.

As the conversation continued with the Guest on Sunday, January 5, 2014, the beating from the Guest continued, while not letting us speak.

We were finally able to interrupt the Guest, when we stated we would be crediting 100% of her funds for the Three (3) Night stay. The Telephone conversation ended.

Then the Guest combativeness continued via E-Mail, which the Guest escalated to Threats, while we were confirming, having reviewed the Web-Site, and our willingness to return 100% of the Guest's funds.

We welcome reviews, either positive or constructive, however, we do expect them to be accurate.

We do take this profession seriously, and are constantly maintaining or upgrading our Properties, while being committed to the comfort of all of our Guests while representing all Properties accurately on our Web-Sites.

However, reviews of this nature which are scandalous, misrepresent the Property, and our commitments; we do protest as to the maliciousness of some, and the time they take in an attempt to inflict harm.
