This past Labor day weekend I had the pleasure of making a birthday celebration for my husband (60th) and my Mom (90th) which they shared together in the private glass room at Latitudes. Everyone was overwhelmed by the amazing ocean view. The food was fantastic.I ordered 2 cold shellfish towers for the table of 10 and Anna (food and beverage manager) was kind enough to let us sub extra shrimp/crab/lobster for the oysters. Everyone ordered straight off the menu for their main course. Alicia was a great server. We were able to bring our own birthday cake in ( for a $2.00 per person slicing charge). The restaurant also provided three beautiful flower arrangements on the table. Food and staff were excellent in everything from help planning to the quality of the food and service.
I can't wait to come back here for their Sunday brunch. Well done!

We went to a catered dinner in a private room for about 50 people. The passed appetizers were perfect and there was a beautiful patio so we could easily walk outside to the perfect beach. A wonderful evening and no mosquitos in sight!

this restaurant and hotel has changed hands and ha s had a total makeover. Its a perfect place the ocean, there are not many of these gems left anymore. I went back 3 times the week i was visiting.
you can sit inside a modern cool restaurant or outside on the patio over looking the Atlantic ocean listing to the waves and watching as the moon come up.
The food is very Good and the Service is Excellent ... They have hired only professional staff members, dependable and mature. If the food is a bit late its only because the place is so popular and the kitchen tries to keep up the good quality and good service. There is also an outdoor bar and a raw bar. One of the better surprises in the area. Open Breakfast Lunch and dinner... go for all 3.

We have been here before and always have a good meal and good service. We were two couples on a Thursday evening at 7:00. Not busy and seated right away. The bread that they bring is cheesy and delicious along with other assorted breads. We began with two lobster bisques followed by baby iceberg wedges. Soup hot, wedge with bacon bits and cheese covered in very tasty dressing. For our entrees we had sea scallops, pork chop, stuffed jumbo shrimp and crab crusted grouper. All served hot, good portions and very tasty. Our server John was excellent and very attentive. Since we were celebrating two birthdays we were surprised with two servings of chocolate cake with candles on top (at no charge). All in all very fine dining and service. Yes the prices may be high but for the quality of the food, the service and ambiance it is well worth it.

We did not stay at the Wentworth as guests of the hotel, but went to dinner to the restaurant Latitudes and based on the experience, we opted out of other planned spa activities there the following day.

Note that large groups might find it hard to be accommodated in outside seating here, but we were able to secure a table on the pet-friendly patio, which provides a bit of a view, but mostly subjects you to the noises of an activity area hidden behind some shrubbery... shrieks of children in a pool and what we determined was a billiards table nearby. That said, accommodating large groups can be challenging and I'm pleased that they were able to seat us outside at all.

...Or at least I was until the evening wore on and we found ourselves being devoured by mosquitoes. If the Wentworth has standing water problems, they should deal with them. If it's simply a result of being by the marina, they should consider netting or warn their guests that they'll undoubtedly end up with bites in the evening. We didn't have this problem elsewhere on our stay in New Hampshire, just at the Wentworth.

As for the meal itself, the food was not nearly to the level that the price tag implies. We expected far better. Our main server was polite but rather ineffectual when problems arose. When a number of servers arrived with dishes, he had to whisper corrections to the other serves who placed the wrong dishes in front of people. Steaks ordered "medium rare" were delivered well-done and the waiter did not offer to have the error corrected and did not even apologize when this was pointed out, he simply smiled. (Indeed, we didn't insist on sending them back as it took an hour between our order and the delivery of our food and there was no telling how long a replacement might take!) Oysters ordered with so-called "mignonette" sauce were presented with straight vinegar and when we requested that actual mignonette sauce be produced because that's why certain people bothered to order the oysters, the waiter returned (over 10 minutes later) with a simple statement that "this is how the chef prepares it." At the very least, the chef should have presented him/herself to say this directly. Those in our group enjoyed the lobster rolls (though they were far from best that we had in NH or Maine), so perhaps stick with the lunch menu.

Supposedly the hotel and spa are lovely, but this experience rather soured us on things. I'd certainly give this restaurant a pass even if you do check out the other options available at the Wentworth.
