Loved the mammoth bones. Well-done exhibits with professional dioramas. Good explanations of exhibits. Enjoyed. Children were excited! Wheelchairs available which helped me a lot!! Worthwhile time spent.

We only touched on the surface of the museum, but will be back! We brought relatives who were visiting and we all loved it. The children especially loved the fossils.

My wife and I had heard how incredible the butterfly exhibit was, so we stopped by. We were not disappointed. The other parts of the museum are excellent too. There is a charge to visit the butterfly exhibit, but the natural history portions of the museum are free. The butterfly exhibit was worth the price of admission. I had no idea how many types of butterflies there were. We are used to seeing a couple of garden variety butterflies around our home, but to see all of these different butterflies with their various colors was amazing. Lot of great information to read about the migration habits, etc. Some great exhibits in the Natural History Museum and I wish we had more time. Don't let that 15 foot tall giant sloth, that used to roam Florida, scare you! Lot of great information about the Calusa Indians that I had forgotten from my school days.

Dinosaurs & a 7 year old boy go well together. He was enthralled with every portion of the museum. Most particularly the “JAWS”. The sloth was lively, LOL, because he had just pooped for the week. What an interesting animal! We all thoroughly enjoyed our 2 hours of exploration.
