We stayed in the Ivey room - 2nd floor corner room with great view of old oak tree & water. Owners were wonderful - friendly, helpful, available but not pushy or obtrusive. Several very nice, private areas for reading or solitude. Little bowls of snacks in various areas was very nice. Fridge with soft drinks and available microwave on the 2nd floor.
The pictures online do not show the true beauty of this house. Breakfast was wonderful, especially the fried grits. Will definitely stay there again for our next trip to the area. Can't wait!!! Thank you Martha & Bill for a wonderful, relaxing stay.

Every year I go to a bowling tournament in Ft Walton Beach Fl.. The past 5 or so years I've have stayed in this quiet, nostalgic, and beautiful B&B, off the short beaten path from the busiest Blvd in Ft Walton. Very Clean rooms, comfortable, and affordable. Antique furniture fill the rooms with a warm sense of the past with a contemporary neat and clean of today. Breakfast is served everyday with a beautiful table settings and a wonderful, tasty variety of foods and drink. Before and After breakfast you can sit out on the back porch and view the scenary or sit in one of the 3 sitting areas inside and enjoy the quiet. Free Wi-Fi. Free drinks and water upstairs where the bedrooms are. They supply the little amenities as hotels, plus fresh coffee in the AM. The beds are cozy and comfortable. The host are pleasant but out of sight. They have a dock that you can fish from and a little beach for swimming. This is definitely a hidden bargain.

Room Tip: All rooms have a certain quaintness. Just tell them what you're looking for. Not many rooms.

We stayed two nights in the rose room. Accommodations were nice, the home is beautiful, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing. We will be back for sure. We parked our boat 19' ski boat at their dock and had easy access to the sound, bay and gulf.

Martha and Bill started our family of five's morning with fabulous food
as B & Bs do. However, it was the friendly atmosphere and their local knowledge
that guided our three day visit to the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Wow - what a disappointment. The best thing about this B&B was the breakfast. Martha's husband was out of town so maybe that is why she seemed so uninterested in her guests. When we arrived she was having a glass of wine and playing with her relatives on the adjoining property. She just waved at us and told us when breakfast would be served - no introduction to the house. No soap or shampoo in the bathroom. Raggedy towels (at least they should trim the rags ). Only one bath robe (in a king room) ? No channel guide. No afternoon tea/cookies etc. No hot water for us to make our own tea in the evening. I always judge a place on whether or not I would go back, or recommend it to a friend. Definitely would not. Only reason I would give this 3 of 5 would be the breakfast - nothing else.
