We stayed two nights in the rose room. Accommodations were nice, the home is beautiful, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing. We will be back for sure. We parked our boat 19' ski boat at their dock and had easy access to the sound, bay and gulf.

Martha and Bill started our family of five's morning with fabulous food
as B & Bs do. However, it was the friendly atmosphere and their local knowledge
that guided our three day visit to the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Wow - what a disappointment. The best thing about this B&B was the breakfast. Martha's husband was out of town so maybe that is why she seemed so uninterested in her guests. When we arrived she was having a glass of wine and playing with her relatives on the adjoining property. She just waved at us and told us when breakfast would be served - no introduction to the house. No soap or shampoo in the bathroom. Raggedy towels (at least they should trim the rags ). Only one bath robe (in a king room) ? No channel guide. No afternoon tea/cookies etc. No hot water for us to make our own tea in the evening. I always judge a place on whether or not I would go back, or recommend it to a friend. Definitely would not. Only reason I would give this 3 of 5 would be the breakfast - nothing else.

What a great visit with Aunt Martha. Our great room beside the great oak was clean, cool, comfortable and spacious. Warm hospitality with a refrigerator full of Cokes. Our incredible breakfast of eggs, bacon, French toast, juice and coffee was waiting at 9 am. We also enjoyed the dock by the bay and the porch swing. So stay here, y'all! You'll be happy you did. Enough rooms for a family or a group of friends!

My wife and I have stayed there twice. The place is unusual in that Martha's is a built-to-purpose B&B, well-conceived and executed. The rooms are impeccable, roomy, and tastefully decorated. Most importantly, the mattresses are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and roomy. The guestrooms are all upstairs and I don't think there is an elevator. We were never disturbed by the other guests or outside noise.

The lounging areas downstairs are comfortable and well appointed. There is a shady veranda facing the bay I enjoyed for reading. The grass runs down to the water and is nice on bare feet. A family dock extends into the bay and frames a nice swimming area.

Martha serves an excellent Southern breakfast with area specialties like fresh orange juice.

When we want a few days relaxing break, Aunt Martha's comes to mind.

Room Tip: The room on the east end will get morning sun and I think is a little larger. Both rooms we stayed in were exceptionally nice.
