Villa Nina Island Inn
Ranked #3 of 6 Fort Pierce B&B and Inns
Reviewed 26 March 2005

The Treasure Coast area of Florida has seen significant rises in real estate prices, with resultant rises in hotel rates. The Villa Nina Inn is a wonderful alternative to hotel living, at a reasonable cost. First, they have a great web site, with excellent photos of the rooms and grounds, so before you go, you really know what to expect. Charming, comfortable, spacious rooms, with a distinctly seaside Florida feel. Each room has white ceramic tile floor, fluffy beds, huge windows, ceiling fan, individual climate control, kitchen table and chairs, and pantry area. All rooms (several are suites) have a door to the outside, so you feel like this is your home as you drive into the driveway. Great satellite TV and free local calls or calling card calls. Most rooms have showers only (albeit wonderful marble showers) and unlike most B&B's, there is no dining room for breakfast. Instead, your frig is stocked with bagels, muffins, juice and snacks for you to take care of yourself. (I would have preferred a microwave in the room to heat up the breakfast instead of having to use one in the laundry area around the corner.) Beautiful beach across the street and excellent hosts who are attentive and available, but will leave you alone if you prefer. Unfortunately, the area still shows signs of hurricane damage even 6 months later. As such, my anticipated view of greenery, was instead of the open lot next door, but that was only true of my room. If you are a baseball fan and want to go to Spring Training, they are very close to both the Mets and Dodgers camps, and several others are withing easy driving distance. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
