We live in Sanibel and usually frequent island dining spots. We heard god things about Blanc and decided to try it before the theatre. We ate at the chefs' bar where we could enjoy the show from the busy little kitchen. We tried the artichokes app and the giant shrimp. They have a great wine list ( no hard stuff) and some wine cocktails.
We tried the small plates and were quite pleased. Dessert was incredible .
Be sure to try the fried beet side, I could eat that every day.

A very small restaurant tucked behind Prawnbrokers. Parking both front and rear. 7:30 PM Friday reservation - seated about 5 minutes late. Because of last minute reservation had seating at the counter overlooking kitchen - was actually quite interesting watching the food prep. Moscow Mule and glass of red wine to start. Decent wine list with good pricing. Between us had the daily special carrot & ginger soup, artichoke fritters, grouper and pork belly. All excellent. Service excellent. Had dessert recommended by waiter and also excellent. Several things the uninitiated should be aware of: the tables are packed in with zero chance of privacy, the "entrees" are actually smaller than traditional entrees but are also priced accordingly. Our usual MO at a restaurant is to split an appetizer, each order an entree and maybe split a dessert. At Blanc this likely wouldn't be enough food as we both ordered apps, each had an entree and split a dessert. It was plenty of food. So even with the above noted, Blanc is well worth trying as the food quite innovative, excellent presentation and as good as it gets in SW Florida. Reservations a must.

Excellent food and presentation-definitely worth a try.
Especially the brussels sprout with miso.
There are small plates and some can be ordered as full dinners or just try a couple.

My biggest concerns is that this place is so good, that it will be very difficult to get a table. The restaurant is a cool place, great design, unfortunately the place is small. The kitchen is open to see and the chefs are all dressed in white with white fedoras.
Food was AAA+++ , service excellent and prices are reasonable given the quality of the place.

Can't wait to go back !!!!

The first thing you notice about this eatery is that there are not many tables and the ones there are are shoe-horned in. Instead of focusing on legroom, focus on the food and you will be fine. The dishes are creative and the chefs take pride in each one before sending to the tables. The lamb chops were perfect. The waygu sliders great for kids of all ages. We had a veal chop that was cooked to perfection. All around great food with smaller (tapas-sized) portions that don't break the bank or bust the gut.
