Excellent, what's neat about Gioia is that sometimes you get the entire dining room to yourself, and this was the case the last 2 times. Course that being said the season was over. In any case, the food, the service, the ambiance is all just delightful. The only negative I can give is the escargot needs to be cleaned a little better, both times we had them they were a little to gritty. Otherwise their pasta dishes, penne alla vodka, light and tasty, spaghetti Napoli, the black olives give a nice salty but savory taste, and the specials they have are always good, they change so really can't give you definite one.
All in all we highly recommend Gioia restaurant for great food good service, and an all around nice evening.

Delicious dinner for four! Billy our waiter was entertaining. The Italian Opera music set the mood for this quaint restaurant.
It was quiet being a Sunday night and the owner/chef had the night off but the dinner was still excellent - we met Wilson - who trained under the owner and is very skilled and friendly too!
We look forward to dining here again!
Large portions and the Penne ala Vodka was excellent! It made a great left over dinner too!

Exceptional food and service.

I had the linguine with white clam sauce-- exceptional- chef finalizes cooking this dish by wrapping the linguine, sauce, and clams in aluminum foil and then baking in oven for 2 minutes keep in all flavor.

My wife had the salmon grilled with EVOO and loved it.
Simple, but delicious.

Bread cut like a pizza drizzled with EVOO and cheese served at start of meal together with black olives soaked in EVOO.

All in all-- a great meal and highly recommended.

Used a $20 for $40 groupon-- great value

It is a quiet restaurant early in the week but gets busy on weekends. Recommend reservations. The food is genuine Italian with great variety and good, knowledgeable service. Nice for a romAntic dinner or for a family reunion.
