Embassy Suites is our favorite hotel because of their spacious 2-room suites and cooked-to-order breakfast omelets. However, this particular hotel has won us over with its close proximity to, and amazing views of, the Ocean (please see the photos taken from our room) - worth every penny!

We purposely stay at Embassy Suites often when we travel. I have an artificial fragrance allergy and ES has always accommodated my condition by not have fragrances in their hotel. I called ahead just to be sure this ES was fragrance free too, and was told it was. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by strong artificial fragrance. We went and checked out the room before checking in, and it was free of fragrance so we stayed. I had reserved a room with two baths, a bedroom, and living room with a balcony on the ocean. Of course, we paid more for this, but wanted to hear the ocean and drink coffee on the balcony. The smoking area was directly one floor below our room. We couldn't enjoy any of that, nor see the ocean at a low level. The breakfast was so ill run, we couldn't get much of any of it either morning. Just very disappointed in this particular hotel.

Room tip: don't stay above outdoor smoking area

Not a bad place but not great. Staff was courteous and helpful but rooms were in need of some updating. Two bathrooms were nice but be careful when taking a shower as both were quite slick and slippery. Cleaning staff was very inconsistent with amount of towels they replace. One day had 5 bath towels and no face cloths and when asking a cleaning person they did not understand English. The complimentary happy hour and breakfast were nice but easily paid for by the parking fees that they charge which to me was ridiculous. $23.00 a day for self parking and $26.00 for valet. Being that the closest restaurants were close to a mile walk and the airport is a distance you would need a car. Pool was nice but beach is rocky and not at all large

I had a great stay there last week. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The star of helpfulness and high service was a younger man that did vallet - Rolando William. He greeted me with "Good morning Mr. xxxxxx - welcome back. Will you be needing your car again soon - or shall I park it". Very inquisitive to make sure that he provided the BEST service. Then one of the front desk gals (Ilene maybe - sorry I forgot your name) was kind enough to leave me a birthday card - and I had brought my wife along to celebrate our anniversary early and they also left us some champagne (I should note that I've had status with Hilton for years and this was not the first time I've been here - so you may or may not get the same level of service). the hot breakfast is always wonderful and is complimentary. Same with the evening reception, I will say that the snacks were a little lesser than other Embassy Suits I visit - but you just can't beat being on the beach so no demerits for that. The facility is quite wonderful - but is starting to show signs and smells of dating. One case in point is the ceiling above the front desk where the ducting has sweat so much that the ceiling is wet around the vent. Only slightly unsightly and totally forgivable. I really can't complain about anything and again the service was second to none. I full-heartedly recommend this hotel - especially in the off season! The price was a tad steep the last time I was here - but I guess that goes with the area at peek season.

Room tip: Pay for the ocean front room. You'll be disappointed if you don't get that view - when you wake up in the morning!

Positive - The room was clean, people friendly. Located right on the beach.
Negative- I have to wonder if they do a local outreach on Sundays. The pool is overrun with screaming children that do not speak English. Only on Sunday. Not my first visit, happened last time too.

Most front desk friendly and helpful. Of course there was that 1 to ruin a trip. Share the pool music some salsa is great, but all day and night? Be diverse. Not sure if I would return again for a hotel relaxing weekend. Might be better for time only in the room kind of place.
