We stayed here for 2 weeks and had such a good holiday with this place as our base.

Pros - The kitchen is good with everything you need would need. Check out the little pantry type cupboard for any handy extras previous guests have left.

Living rooms - (There are 2!) Comfy couches and a big TV

Bedrooms - Large with plenty of storage with ensuite bathrooms (apart from the kids rooms)

Dining room - Highly recommend eating here and not the kitchen ( I'll cover this in the cons).

Garage/ Laundry room - full of games and inflatables for the pool. Great washing machine and dryer.

The Pool - loved the pool! Pay for the extra heated water as it's lovely.

Nearby - great publix supermarket (if you want cheaper go further down the road to Walmart). Good Irish pub and Chinese takeaway.

Cons - Ants! Now this is nitpicking as its Florida and there are always ants but it's just to warn anyone who isn't aware of this. Due to this I recommend eating in the dining room and not the kitchen. Don't leave any food out as they will find it and bring their many friends.

Golfers - I know it is a golf reserve but when you are lying next to the pool and golfers are walking around next to you looking for lost balls it's not very nice. They are not meant to go near the villas but some ignore this.

Interior- The villa is looking abit outdated and is probably due a refurb in the coming years.

Cleaning - I feel it could have been a little bit cleaner but nothing that would put me off returning.

The key safe box - our joining instructions had the wrong code for the keybox and after a long flight it was the last thing we needed being stuck outside waiting for the maintenance company turning up to let us in. They let us in and changed the number to what we had expected it to be. No further problems after this.

Overall a very good villa that I highly recommend to any families going to Florida. You will have a great holiday staying here!

We stayed at the Highland reserve last April after booking a package deal through virgin holidays. There were 6 adults and 1 child staying in the villa which had 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. To be honest I think an additional bathroom would have been better but we managed with 2. The villas are about 20 mins drive from all of the Disney parks and just a bit further to Universal etc. The villa was lovely, I really couldn't fault it. The pool was also lovely but wasn't cleaned during the 2 weeks we were there so by the end of the holiday there were some bugs etc floating in it. There was a large living area at the back of the villa and another living area at the front with a dining table. The kitchen was part of the living area at the back and was very spacious. The bedrooms were a good size and all came with a TV. There were some toys and pool games in the garage which was a nice touch. The wifi in the villa wasn't working for the first few days but this was fixed eventually. The 3 year old child in our party loved the pool and was more excited about that than going to the parks. There is an Applebes, a petrol station and a large supermarket within 2 mins drive. There are more shops like Target etc within about 5 mins. I know that in Florida a lot of the holiday villas are a bit further out but I would have preferred to be closer to the parks, other than that it was fantastic.

We stayed at 135 herring street on highlands reserve, the villa was a 4 bed home with a private pool and was managed by Contempo management company, booked through Virgin Holidays.
The villa was dirty and obviously not properly cleaned before our stay. Stains on carpets, dead bugs in bathrooms, table was made up like a dinner party but you could write your name in the dust on them. When we stripped the beds the mattresses were ripped like someone had hidden things in them.Whole villa was under furnished, bedrooms had 1 set of drawers and 1 lamp but nothing by the beds, the lamps had such bad bulbs in them that by 5 in the afternoon rooms were unusable as it was so dark in them.
Pool was dirty but as we don't swim we weren't really concerned by that. The whole theme was dirt!!! Even a light clean would've improved the villa loads but contempo obviously doesn't care. Virgin Holidays say its our word against theirs and tbh don't care.

We stayed here in May/June 2014 on Bonville Drive, Other family members stayed in another house also in Highlands Reserve and both houses were beautiful. They were classified as Executive homes by Oceans Florida (booked through Tropical Sky in Ireland). Free Wi-fi in both. 5 mins drive to Publix and Appleebees. Super Walmart was about 10 mins drive. Very quiet estate and while the houses are close together, they are never all occupied at the same time so it remains fairly quiet at night. 20 mins drive to Disney and 30 mins to Universal and the large shopping malls. Clearwater on the West / Gulf coast is approx 90 mins and the same to Daytona on the East coast. Also Sarasota is approx 90 mins on Gulf Coast - well worth the drive as the beaches are white soft sand and the water is warm (gets up to 30C in June)
