Description: Welcome to Valle Cucina, Delaware's best kept secret for thirty years! Our name suggests Italian, and it is the best around, but we are also known for our seven time "Best of Delaware" award winning 100% jumbo lump crab cakes, seafood dishes and the area's most amazing dry aged steaks. Valle also showcases a 200+ bottle wine list. Come as your are or formal, everyone feels at home. We take pride in our friendly service. Located in the Pike Creek Shopping Center, off Limestone Rd. Valle, opened in 1981 as a pizzeria and has become a must try. We are inviting you to experience what many have called their best dining experience.

My family has been coming here for years. While the bill and creep high, nearly everything on the menu is very good. The Italian wedding soup is sublime. While the Italian food is what most people come for, this place has surprisingly excellent steak, some of the best steaks I've had in the area. Again, rarely cheap, but always worth it.

First, the food is fine, and service is fine.

What is NOT fine is the insulting language of wait staff: the proper response to "thank you" is not "NO PROBLEM"! Valle's guests are not ever a problem - it's the definition of customer... it's insulting to tell a guest they've not been a problem. This is not Australia, where such a phrase may be commonplace. The proper reply to "thank you" is "you're welcome".

And guests should never be addressed as "guys", unless they are. Again inexcusable language from wait staff. A collective noun for customers isn't needed, just say "what may I get you?" If it's essential to use a collective noun, anything would be better than "guys" - try "folks". But even that is uncouth - you speak to the guests, not refer to them in the third person!

Valle needs to train wait staff in politeness and proper language. Otherwise, it's just a hash house with pretension.

my mother was faithful customer for 25 years and when we asked one year for her birthday (few years back) if they could prepare mashed potatoes just a little early (they would be cooking them for dinner menu anyway) they refused and were extremely rude about it. other times i went they DID have the potatoes at lunch, but they inisisted this day that they didn't and NEVER did so I guess it was a figment of my imagination when my son and i had them there for lunch for HIS birthday. Anyway, haven't been back since and never will be!! have witnessed manager screaming at employees also in takeout section...pretty over priced anway; go to Firebirds instead!

We went to Valle Cucina for lunch and had the Hawaiian pizza, pizza boli and fries. Food was fantastic as was the service. The iced tea is freshly brewed. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely return and try other dishes on the menu.
