Booked last minute in July 2016 for $99. A queen room, small LCD TV, mini fridge and small microwave, with a smallish but useable bathroom. Room was passably clean. Window was open when we arrived, and it had been thunder storming, so the floor was soaked. Luckily they had placed a towel under the window to soak it up and I was able to use that to clean up the mess. Owner checked us in after we had to call for help a few times, was slightly condescending, and marginally helpful. $5 deposit for the room and key and another $35 for a street parking pass later, and we were in our room. You can park on site for an extra fee ($20 if I remember correctly), but I found a spot about a block away that I was happy with (this might have been luck). Room did not feel overly dirty, but certainly wasn’t the cleanest I had been in. Amenities were acceptable, slightly below average, but for the price, which was half or less than compared to most other lodging in the area, what would you expect? Location was good, about a block from the boardwalk on Olive St. Nothing much else of note to comment on. Owner allowed us to keep a parking pass the entire next day even after we checked out so we could stay longer. He was an interesting guy, had a BS and MS in Engineering and an MBA, along with being an avid triathlete. After we left we realized we had left my daughters embroidered pillow in the room. Called several times and never received a response, which is disappointing. If you want a cheap option near the beach, this works. We are used to dumps, so it wasn’t all that bad overall.
