We have frequently stayed at this hotel as it is centrally located to the beach however regrettably each time has been a problem of some sorts. This last visit again highlighted the lack of management supervision control. We arrived at 2:35 pm to be told that even though we had the reservation proof we were told we were at the wrong hotel. We then were told that our allocated suite was not cleaned or ready ( check in is from 2 pm). The duty manager was not immediately available and when he was could not locate the housekeeping manager. All this time we were left standing around with excuses. When I suggested that that we be given a different suite it too was not ready. When we finally got into the room some 35 minutes later we discovered dirt on the side tables and food remains ( with ants) on the sea facing veranda.Again management had to be called and staff had to re clean. The room safe was also not working. All together a very frustrating and unpleasant experience and stay from a hotel in the upper price bracket.

Room Tip: If you take a chance then the rooms on the left of reception are quieter with less road noise.

Thank you for staying with us. Please accept our apologies for your experience at our hotel. It appears that the hotel’s staff and management did not meet your needs in a way that our group would normally deliver. We will certainly bring this to the attention of management. Please give us another chance to impress as we would certainly like to retain you as a guest.

Excellent beach front location, clean tidy rooms, good selection and service for breakfast. Amazing barman Edwin who always served us with a smile and remembered our names. well done Edwin. breakfast staff offered great service and always keen to please. A laundry on site for our use was very handy as I was on a work visit. enjoyed a swim in the pool. A short walk to the Casino and shops next door. Good value.

Room Tip: We had a twin share beachfront room with balcony. excellent

We booked in for two nights and had hotel pre-arrange an airport transfer for us. Upon arrival, no one was waiting for us, we hunted down the company within the airport to find out that some how they had us arriving on the correct date but a month earlier! The transfer was charged to our room and when we finally arrived I told them how displeased we were, as someone had made a mistake and we thought the right thing to do...customer service wise would have been to not charge us for the transfer. However upon check out, the manager hid in her office and refused to discuss the situation. We ended up paying for transfer even though we strongly felt they should have been nice and paid the 80 rand for us! It wasn't the price we objected to but the principle of it! Whoever made the error should have claimed it and rectified it!

Also upon arrival there was very poor communication as to what the hotel had to offer, no book or information in the room! We had to ask for pool towels, if they had breakfast, laundry and lounge information! They didn't even tell us when check out was! They actually had food out in the lounge we could have enjoyed on arrival as we hadn't had dinner but we weren't told about it either until we happened upon it right at 8:00 pm when they were putting it away!

The one bedroom suite was spacious and overlooked the sea on a busy road! We were very happy with the room itself but would have been much happier had they admitted their error and offered to pay for our airport transfer! Not great customer service!

Thank you for staying with us. Please accept our apologies for the mix-up regarding your transfer. We’re glad you liked the spaciousness of our rooms, but we’re sorry to hear that other aspects of your stay were not up to scratch. Communication is an important factor in the hospitality industry and it looks like some improvements are needed at our hotel.

This is not a fully functioning hotel as it does no serve lunch or dinner but don't let that put you off it is well worth staying here. The reception is very with free tea and coffee plus pastries all day. The rooms are large and clean with comfortable beds and a balcony. Also in the room is a safe, mini bar and a small kitchenette which is very handy.
Breakfast was not included in our plan but we decided to have it one of the days and it was very good usual buffet style with eggs to order. There are lots of places to eat close by and the beaches are just across the road, the road is fairly noisy. We had a good stay here it is safe with plenty to do close by

This was our 2nd visit to the Courtyard (see Jan 2015) and we think we had the same A/C room as last time, which was spacious with king size bed and a great view of the beach from the balcony. As before, it was clean and comfortable and standards hadn't slipped since our last visit two years ago. Once again we had the breakfast buffet and, for us, the stay was good value for money. The only negative was the WiFi which was erratic. Reception said there was an issue which they were trying to contact the provider to resolve but it didn't happen before we left.
