This is a delightful, low key B&B in a beautifully maintained historic building. The room was comfortable, with a ceiling fan and an AC which was greatly appreciated when the humidity soared! The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Tea (hot and cold) is available in the afternoon with a lovely snack (pound cake, oatmeal raisin cookies). It is reasonably priced and un-fussy, very easy to relax and unwind here. We would definitely come back.

I am updating my initial review, "Dont Book a room here!" because the management worked out the issue. Yes, they did accept my booking, then cancelled it due to another party's booking, but we worked it out and I will be staying there. I wish they di this in the first place, but at least it ends well.

My partner and I found the BRI after desperately searching for a B&B close to Tanglewood. What a gem! About 45 minutes from Tanglewood Music Center, the Blackberry River Inn is a charming, well-equipped inn with lovely and welcoming staff. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was treat. The rooms that face the main road can get a bit of car-noise but we turned on the fan and it drowned out 95% of the road noises.

Breakfasts were amazing both days and there is lots to do in the vicinity. Highly recommended.

Easy to get to and has plenty to do in the area. Over all a great place to spend a quiet weekend. The main bedroom is close to route 44 and has traffic noise at night. Was waken by motorcycles and big trucks.

Pamela and Klaus, the Innkeepers were extremely welcoming, friendly, professional, and helpful. We were very touched and honored by their warm welcome and dedication to our well-being throughout our stay. Klaus also served homemade chocolate chip cookies and tea (plenty of tea choices) each afternoon in the Inn's lovely living room. The cookies were delicious, plentifully supplied, and always served with a very warm and friendly smile.
Chef Keith is a superb chef! During the schoolyear, Keith is the chef at a local school. Keith, too. was extremely welcoming and devoted to offering a thoroughly delicious and healthy, homemade breakfast buffet each day.
Allie and Belle were the Breakfast Buffet hostesses and helpers each morning. Like everyone else on the staff, they both greeted all the guests warmly and were sincerely committed to meeting each guest's needs.
The Housekeeping Staff (I'm sorry, I don't know their names) were also superb: dedicated to providing excellent service. The rooms were immaculately clean and beautifully cared for and supplied each day. The beds were extremely comfortable, the furniture lovely, and rooms were both historical and elegantly understated.
The entire family experienced a thoroughly delightful July 4th Weekend at the Blackberry River Inn - all because of the gifted staff. Although the Inn is exquisite, lovely, relaxing, charming, and memorable, the outstandingly welcoming and friendly staff eclipsed even the Inn in our experience and memories. We all agree that we want very much to return next summer to the Inn and to the very special staff. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the staff members and learning about their families and sharing ours with them.
Thank you, Blackberry River Inn, for giving us the gift of a very relaxing and thoroughly delightful weekend. You are all STARS!

Room Tip: We loved rooms 8, 9, 10 which connected. We were travelling with a one-year old who slept in the middle room.
