How could you not like Ikea? Its a lot of walking, but there's so much to see! And full of great ideas to use in your house/apartment. Low prices, decent food in the cafe & restaurant, some of the furniture you have to put together when you get it home. Or you can visit the great AS IS section! It features furniture people have purchased, put together and then returned, discontinued showroom items and tons of other great stuff!

We enjoyed the showrooms and the environment was very family oriented. Although we didn't eat there, the restaurant was large, clean and offered many choices. Oh, and the complementary coffee upon entering the store didn't hurt, either!

The food is chosen cafeteria style. There eere four or five main dishes but the most popular was the Swedish meatballs with sause, boisenberry, mashed potatoes and a veggy. The also ha fish, chicken and a mac and cheese option. The desserts looked good. Quality was fine, utensiles clean. Cost for two for lunch without dessert was around $15. They do not serve alcohol.

The food is far better than the furniture. Full diners are under 10 including entree, sides salad, soup and drink. The meatballs are very good, the salmon is excellent. The sides and salads are better than most and the prices can;t be beat. For about half of what you would spend at McDonalds or any other fast food place or food truck, you get to sit down to a full meal at a table with an excellent view of the New Haven skyline or Long Island Sound. It is cafeteria style and if you pick a weekend it can be quite crowded but if you go at an off time you can pick a seat with the view. They should stop selling the furniture and go full time into food sales.

I was here with my boyfriend while we were furniture shopping. We decided to get lunch and I was pleasantly surprised at the food considering how cheap it was. The meatballs are great and so are the ribs. Also you can't beat the dollar soft serve ice cream! It's what you would expect from a cafeteria style lunch, so don't expect five-star food, but it's very good if you're looking for a quick bite while shopping!
