The TABOR INN is about a half mile from our home. We have relied on them over the years when we need accommodations for friends and family from out of town when they are up this way.since the location is so convenient and Maggie and the staff always do their best to make their guests feel at home. We have seen their dedication to the Inn; cleanliness, property management and attention to detail really pay off in customer satisfaction. The grounds are immaculate and the amenities including the recently attached inside pool much appreciated.
Over the holidays we had friends in town who just raved about their stay and are determined to return.
I highly recommend it.
.

Room Tip: We always suggest a walk through....especially with Maggie...for room selection.

I've stayed at the Taber Inn three times in the past two years. The staff, including owner Maggie, are incredibly friendly. The rooms, while not on the fancy side are kept well cleaned. Room types vary considerably from basic rooms with stand-up showers and no desks, to rooms with gas fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs. There are also two-bedroom townhouses and rooms with porches. Be sure to ask for the particulars about the room you select. A simple continental breakfast is served each morning and Mystic Market is directly across the street serving hot egg sandwiches and excellent coffee. Note the Taber's location is a few miles walk/drive to Mystic's downtown shops and restaurants, however there are a couple restaurants near this inn and just around the corner is the road that leads to Enders Island, a gorgeous retreat with stone walls, elaborate gardens and water views in every direction—worth taking the time to visit!

Room Tip: Rooms are located in different buildings, some with doors to guest rooms inside a building, others o...

A wonderful stay at Taber Inn. The place was decorated beautifully for the Holidays. My room was gorgeous with a fireplace and canopy bed. Everything was in order and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would love to go back again.

We spent a memorable night at The Taber Inne in early October. My husband and I prefer locally owned accomodations and this was a wonderful choice I found searching the Internet for a place to stay in Mystic. From the moment we checked in we felt right at home and found our room spacious, comfortable and I can honestly say, it was the cleanest place we have stayed. Wonderful conversations with the sweet owner and other friendly and helpful staff members. The location was very nice and close to local attractions. We rode the train and boat in Essex and went to the Submarine Museum. We accidentally left a camera battery charger in our room and the owner was so nice to call us to let us know and then mailed it to us. We hope to be able to return for a few days next time we visit Connecticut.

Room Tip: We looked at several rooms and they were both very nice. You can park right in front of your room.

My husband and I had reservations at another hotel that had mold issues, we left. When we went to the Tabor Inn they were very nice to us. They took the time to show us the rooms available so that we could chose which one suited our needs. The rooms are large, have either 1 or 2 person jacuzzi with or without gas fireplace, Wi-fi, swimming pool and breakfast. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the services. It was quiet and cozy. It doesn't look like much from the road but check it out. They have little cabin type rooms in the rear. The family that owns it are very nice and we really enjoyed our stay there. There was no mold or mildew like several of the other bed and breakfast inns. If you have allergies or asthma this is the place to stay in Mystic, CT. They work hard to stay ahead of that damp sea air......loved this place.

Room Tip: Chose the King size bedroom near the in-door pool area. It is in the back with a walkout patio and...
