This country pub restaurant is always jammed. Nice atmosphere, typical pub food a bit above average. Good burgers and desserts. Service good but can be spotty. Even though they have a long bar, the drinks are mediocre to poor. The beer is good.

My husband and I were too tired to cook so we took a drive down Rte 202 to the White Horse for dinner. After arriving with no reservation, we were told 30 minute wait for an outside table. No problem. We took a beeper and went to the bar. We were greeted by two friendly female bar tenders who were so happy and enjoying their job we decided to eat at the bar. Great meal and service. Highly recommend this local restaurant/pub if you are in the area.

Our son raves about this place so when we were near by decided to try and very glad we did. We visited on an absolutely beautiful Sunday at just about noon. The weather was perfect and we asked to sit on the small deck - which was a beautiful setting.

The menu (brunch menu for us) was rather long with many interesting choices. While our son always gets the chicken pot pie we opted for the burger and the ham and pear panini. Both meals were delicious and the prices very fair for the quality and quantity of food. The burger was very good (and quite large) and panini was excellent and just the right amount of food.

We will be back.

We went for dinner tonight and took a table on the back outdoor patio overlooking the brook. There were no bugs and the atmosphere was wonderful. The waitstaff was top shelf and very attentive. We had some drinks and ordered two appetizers. The buffalo chicken spring rolls were just the right kind of spicy. We also ordered muscles which were served with garlic bread and sauce. It was so good we ordered extra bread to soak in the sauce. For dinner my wife had a prime rib special with Yorkshire pudding. It was excellent. See photo. I ordered the Shepherds Pie. It was served in a cast iron pan and was done perfectly. I had the Key Lime Tart for dessert and cleaned the plate. While the prices were slightly higher than the average I would highly recommend the White Horse. We will be returning soon.

Our waitress was great. Fish and Chips were excellent, as was Shepard's Pie and Salmon salad. The only downside is the noise. It is loud in there!
