During my 4th and latest visit to the V-HI I got to meet John. He is an 80 year old skier that has been staying there a little over 20 years on a semi annual basis. There is a reason for this. Meet Manager Joe! He is SO conscientious and truly wants each and every patron to have the best experience possible! Your room will be spotless, breakfast will be in the hall, and Joe will watch out for you. It is more like staying with a friend to me than just some Hotel.

Rooms large and clean. Owner is friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth the money. Great location with easy access to skiing and restaurants. Outdoor hot tub is the only amenity but for the price that is not unreasonable.

All of the Excellent reviews are true. Joe is great, and always adds positively to our stay. We come to Winter Park to ski and not much more. The rooms are clean and comfortable and large, which helps when you are tired and trying to peel off all your base layers at the end of the day. If you are there to enjoy a lot of peripheral luxuries and amenities, then maybe stay at the resort or someplace more expensive.

Room tip: First floor rooms are quiet, despite being on the main road.

Just had one night stay here in a large room. The motel is situated within walking distance of bars and restaurants. Our nights sleep was better that some of the larger hotels that we visited on our road trip. Room quiet even though we were adjacent to the main road.
Would recommend.

This is a mom and pop operation on the edge of town. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The room was huge, simple, and very comfortable. I would stay here again. Parking was free, but somewhat limited.
