We ate at Lancelot in early June and had a great meal at a great value. They had some of their best dishes for lower prices during the end of the off-season. The prime rib was excellent. The Boulder Natural Pan Roasted Chicken Breast was very good and had a deep, rich flavor. The Warm Haystack Mountain Goat Cheese in Phyllo Cup was tasty but not as good of a value for four pieces. Eating outside near the Gore Creek was beautiful.

You may come for the incredible prime rib, but return because the Caesar salad is the best. Long stalks of lettuce with just enough dressing. Slices of parmesan cheese instead of powdery stuff. Service is friendly.

We visited Lancelot in Vail Village for dinner. I suggest you call Lancelot direct for reservations as Open Table did not have our requested time, but the restaurant did. We were warmly greeted and were seated immediately. Our server was efficient and was helpful the whole evening. We shared 2 appetizers, Mussels and Calamari. Both were very well prepared. Our whole table each had the House Cut of Prime Rib with Baked Potatoes. We had sides of Brocolini and Asparagus. Our Service Dog gives Lancelot 5 Stars as well. Ending our dinner, we all shared a Brownie Ice Cream desert. Everything was fantastic and we will return on our next visit to Vail.

The prime rib is usually on special, and very good. Visited them 3 or 4 times now and keep coming back.

I have not eaten here for years, literally. This season I went not once but twice. I am surprised how great the Prime Rib truly is! It is right on the creek, so the views are wonderful. I loved the prime rib and my only criticism is the staff is not very excited about working there. I still had wonderful service and do recommend this overlooked restaurant!
