The value of this hotel I amazing. Two bedroom, two bath, kitchenette and dining table for 68 a night in may. You can't beat that. Check in was a breeze. Location great to downtown steamboat. Stayed here two nights for the marathon. So much to do here :-D no complaints

We had a great time snowboarding - fresh powder every day. We thought they had good shuttle service from the inn... It's just one trip over and one trip back, which was not always convenient. Nothing to walk to. Our unit was a 2 bedroom, the dishwasher broke, the hot water heater broke, the closet door fell off, the indoor hot tub was overflowing when more than 2 people were in it, Internet went off one night. Just not what we expected. In general, maintained fine, could use a facelift. Not horrible, just not special.

The skiing at Steamboat is phenomenal! Thunder mountain condo was perfect for our family. A good value for a full 2 bedrooms. It very quite (low occupancy for some reason) but that was fine with us. Kitchen was small but functional. Cooked many great meals. Beds were comfortable - full size queen in each room. We didn't have to use the pull out, which was nice (pull out sofa would be the third bed - and it had an accordion door for privacy). The furniture seemed relatively new and the bathroom had be recently remodeled. Shuttle to the mountain picked up right at the front door every morning - which was very nice. The city bus is also available with a short walk, but we only used the shuttle.

Nice time until my last two days which had no cable or internet service. Make sure you bring plenty of entertainment as you cannot depend on their cable service to work. Wouldn't stay there if you need an internet connection for work.

2-bedroom condo was very nice. Pros was close to public transportation (<100 yards up the hill), on-site hot tub, and friendly service. Cons were old plumbing (shower water burns when someone flushed the toilet) and couldn't keep the condo temp constant. One nice surprise was that there is an accordian wall so we could close off the area where the fold-out couch was for our older son to sleep. Plenty of room for 4, compared to other "4-person" condos we stayed in. Wi-fi was excellent. We had a huge jacuzzi/tub in our condo - nice option for the on-site jacuzzi downstairs on days we were too sore to walk!

Room Tip: Didn't experience too much intra-room noise despite being the snow skiing season
