Went looking for a campground to stay at. Stopped here because of Good Sam rating. Very disappointed and can't figure out why they are rated so well. it appears they have plenty to do but everything looked closed. Sites are very close together. Very muddy (however it had rained) as some sites are just in a meadow. Seems to have some seasonal campers which is fine but dont bring all your junk to the site. On the good side....the guys at the gate were very friendly and helpful!

My family has been coming here for over 30 years and I finally got to take my kids (9 & 7). So much to do for everyone: fishing, hiking, horseback riding, mini golf, paddle boats, street dances, and the list goes on. If you are ever bored here it's your own fault!

First of all the location is incredible.Nestled in the basin of Colorados foothills up in the mountains and with the mighty CO river flowing right alongside it. Our cabin was right near a bridge over the river which quickly became my favorite spot. It was so relaxing and great family fun. I caught my first trout here, and ate it that night. Delicious. I saw a beaver swim by, with his belly up, late at night, I think he was sneaking in to get some fish, and it was hilarious and amazing! The food hall, delicious! Buffet style meals,Breakfast in particular was down home good comforting and familiar breakfast foods. Cabins were creaky plain and cozy, which was how a camping cabin should be anyway,so I didn't mind that the furnishings were a bit old and the bed not too comfortable, cause being in the place we were in just made it part of the magic. Lastly, on our last night, sittng around the campfire making smores of course, we hear a growl.only to turn around and see a BEAR walking in our direction! And a little later, ANOTHER! One of the most excting moments of my life! We decided we better go inside with bears on the prowl, and later we heard one of them right outside down by the garbage cans sitting on the backside of our cabin, banging up the cans and making a rucus wanting to find some food.In the morning the cover that was chained on to the can was ripped off and the beardefiniely found some snacks. We hope that the bears made it back to the woods before any guns were drawn on them. So amazing! Thankyou Fun Valley!

We (two adults, 12 yo, and 6 yo) stayed for two nights and it wasn't enough. Go fishing in the pay-by-the-inch pond. Its fun! The only issue we had was the water level was too low for tubing. Had to drag your tube through some shallow parts. But that isn't the resorts fault. Great time! Will go again!

We have been coming here for 20 years and the place is still the same. I love the RV park but it desperately needs updating. All in all it is a great family place to stay. I love that it is gated and kids are safe to enjoy the activities on site. But please a few updates here and there would be nice!
