We had a nice stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable and convenient to local ski areas. The staff was friendly and helpful at check-in and during our stay. A nice continental breakfast was available in the morning at 6:00 am.

Room Tip: If there are two of you, you might request an extra chair in the king-size room. The room only had one chair.

I must say that this guy was just the best! He truly went out of his way with a smile on his face to make sure we were satisfied with our room. Thanks to Shane I will always recommend this hotel. It’s also very refreshing to actually find a young person that truly seems to care. That’s a Tuff fund these days

We checked in and were first given a room on the 2nd floor. Upon entering the room, it smelled really bad like vomit. Looked around, found vomit in the bathtub, a bar of soap wedged in the drain, mold on walls, the phone was so gross so we didn't use it to call the lobby, and what appeared to be feces on one of the pillows. Went down to the lobby and asked to be moved. Was then given a room on the 5th floor. Very cold hallway, finally entered our room to yet another horrible smell... what appeared to be vomit on the side of the bed along the frame area, which is like a vinyl material. Looked around and not much cleaner then the first room. Blow dryer literally hanging off the wall.. sent my husband down to the lobby to ask for someone to come clean this room.. and for someone to fix the blow dryer. Had I been able to get a refund, we would have left. But because we booked through a 3rd party refunds aren't allowed. After a long busy day in Breckenridge all we wanted was a clean comfortable room. Which shouldn't be too much to ask. You expect more when you pay close to 200.00 for one night. I realize this is ski country, but this is absolutely unacceptable. Vomit and other bodily fluids should have been properly cleaned. I am very dissatisfied.

The did come spray and wipe down the bed area and replace the blow dryer as it wasn't fixable.

Other issues, there is a ton of grout from the tile at the bottom of the hot tub. The floor is also very slick in the pool area I know most Hotel pool areas are slick when wet but this one is extremely slick and my husband went flying through the air after walking in the door to the pool area. Another guest have commented that his daughter just fell in the same area as my husband. Having to go track down pool towels is also not right. They should have been stocked.

Our table in the breakfast room was not level and things easily slide off. Breakfast was fine with the exception of there are not hot items other then waffles. Splenda and sugar free syrup would also be nice for guests that are unable to have full sugar.

So my advice is until this place gets a good deep cleaning, don't stay there. You will probably be unhappy and not even an apology from the staff. The lady who checked us out didn't even bother to ask how things were. She was too busy knitting.

I have attached some photos from our stay.

This is one of the best La Quinta hotels I've stayed at. Very large rooms that are tastefully, well decorated. It also has a great continental breakfast with pastries, cereal, hard boiled eggs, bagels, cream cheese, good coffee and more. It is close to the outlets for Nike and other major brands if that interests you but more importantly it is close to the Blue River walk way which is so pretty. The Blue River runs through much of the town and the walkway is so nice. I highly recommend this well appointed hotel that is budget friendly most of the year.

Room Tip: It has many adjoining rooms. If that is not your thing ask for a room without the adjoining room.
