We were on our way to Telluride and booked The Hotel for one night! We regret not staying longer at the hotel.
Really nice! Personnel friendly and helpful. Rooms pretty and extremely clean! Bedding very good as well.
Breakfast good.
Very close to Telluride
I would definitely recommend the hotel.

We were here during the off season in November and were one of three guests that night. The restaurant was not open for dinner although was for breakfast and it was good. Hotel is clean, updated and affordable.

Room Tip: If you want a large room and bathroom, request a king room on the ground floor.

we always stay here if we can get a reservation. We have a mountain cabin with minimal amenities where we we stay about 4 to 6 weeks in the summer, wth weekly visits to the Angler. Makes me feel like an old miner coming in to town to get cleaned up and pampered. We like that it is not in the town of Telluride.

I'll come back here someday. Sure it's showing a bit of age here and there after 14 years, but I've never slept more comfortably--in an old-fashioned 4-post bed!--and the staff is great. It won't fit some who demands immediate attention. No in-room coffee, so you'll have to wait until about 7 a.m. for the coffee and all of the fresh fruit, granola, and hot items you can handle. The bar and restaurant are only open from 4 to 9, and the restaurant itself is closed at the beginning of the week (Sunday and Monday I believe). For that matter, its menu is limited--but it's very healthy and tasty if you choose properly.

My husband and I drove from Durango to spend the day in Telluride, and then the night at the Angler Inn. We left Telluride around 4pm so we could get checked in and have a nice meal and cocktail. While we were checking in, we were informed the restaurant and bar were not open on Mondays. The manager did give us a discount for the inconvienence, but it would have been nice to know in advance. Needless to say, we had to drive back into Telluride to find a place for dinner (25 minutes). The room was clean and updated, but the bed was very uncomfortable. The outside needs some refreshing, but is okay. The free breakfast was a nice touch.
