We are in Grand Junction to help our daughter and her family who are moving to GJ. I wanted to do some special for my wife, and as we would be there for 6 days. I checked around and decided on the Wine Country Inn.

Things could have not been any better. The location, the view, the service, the food, the free wine tasting, the live jazz music, all added up to a grand stay! The inn is located in the middle of an active vineyard. Every single member of the staff have been so welcoming and warm, asking how we are doing. My wife says "They really make you feel at home and want to come back!",.

They have two restaurants. The Tapestry is the dining room open all the time, and my wife says "I can't imagine better food!". Carolines is the super expensive, tiny restaurant and requires reservations.

The grounfs and surroundings are beautifully landscapes with many local flowers. Hummingbirds and doves. The pool area is surrounded by roses and other plantings, with lots of seating and an umbrella gazebo.

Room Tip: We were in room 108, close to ice station and exit door close to parking.

The Wine Country Inn has an ideal location. Adding to the gorgeous natural backdrop is the picturesque architecture of the inn and the lovely landscaping. Surrounded by vineyards and striking landscape, the inn is also conveniently located to the highway and is easy to find. The staff were welcoming and helpful and made our stay a delight. The included breakfast is hearty and tasty. I was also struck by the degree of accessibility the inn has built in for persons of disabilities.Though we did not need them for our party, I appreciate seeing properties that make an effort to be accessible to all guests. The only negative of our stay was a slight smoky smell to the room, however, considering the wildfires in Colorado at this time, I can't fault the inn for it. The Wine Country Inn is charming and a lovely place to stay if you are touring wineries, visiting Colorado National Monument or just passing through.

Loved this hotel. Very quaint set up. Pool in the center surrounded by the buildings. Rockers and chairs to sit outside under the roof overhang. Great breakfast and welcome wine. Rooms very comfortable and nice. Rented the jacuzzi suite and couldn't get the jets to turn on. Guess it was operator error but didn't help our stay. Also ran out of hot water 1/3 full. Not sure if small boiler or if someone else in the building had the same idea. Ian the manager was excellent and took very good care of us. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Warm, friendly service. Very clean, comfortable, spacious rooms! Gorgeous surroundings. Free wine tastings in the evening. Free breakfast. Delicious dinner. What more could you ask for in the Colorado wine country? My only wish is that the Tapestry dinning room was larger. We did have quite a wait, but a pleasant one, for dinner. We look forward to staying at the Wine Country Inn again in the future.

Donna S.,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay. We are working to alleviate the demands on the Tapestry Lounge. You may have noticed that we have a bit of construction going on in the main building. We are working hard to finish our new restaurant space for Caroline’s. This larger space will help to alleviate the congestion in Tapestry Lounge. Our lunch and dinner service will shift to the new space and be serviced by a new bigger and better kitchen. We are starting to put the final touches on the kitchen and restaurant space and are hoping to be open soon. Stay tuned to our website and social media for announcements.

We look forward to serving you again soon! Safe travels!
