The drive to the trailhead is partly on paved and also dirt roads. When we went in June other than the dust it was no problem for a non four wheeler.
The hike itself is varied and scenary spectacular from rushing river to alpine meadows.
We saw several other hikers of all ages but it wasnt crowded, not a difficult hike but with a bit of a gain here and there plus 7000ft plus altitude is can be a little tireing. We turned around after about three miles.
Would recommend to anyone who enjoys nature.
