I took a group of nine men to Ouray, we stayed at Timber Ridge and it was perfect for us. Not expensive, not fancy, but very clean and comfortable. The managers were pleasant and accommodating. It's on the outskirts of Ouray, not downtown, so probably quieter than downtown hotels. No continental breakfast, but they have arranged for a 25% discount at the cafe right behind the lodge. The breakfasts are about $5 before discount, better than any motel free breakfast and much quicker if you want to hit the road than would an in-town breakfast place. Be sure to have at least one meal at the cafe and chat with the proprietor, Celestino. He will give you the town history and his personal history, mixed with a side order of blarney. The cafe serves thee meals a day, closed on Mondays.
It was hot while we were there but the room air conditioner did the job.More
