The National Mining Hall of Fame is a great place to go. They have some very good exhibits and it is a fun place for everyone. We've taken family there several times and the kids and adults always seem to enjoy it.
If you're ever in Leadville, give it a visit.

We appreciate the repeat visits, thank you for bringing the family along. Come back February 9th for our annual Wine at the Mine event at which we will be unveiling a new temporary exhibit or on April 7th when author Juliann Miles will be here for a reading of her children's book Minerals Maniac. There will be additional activities to accompany the reading. Stay up to date with happenings by visiting our web page and clicking on the Events tab.

Thanking you for spreading the word about the museum!

Don't let the outside appearance fool you, there is a lot to see. Upon entering was friendly greeted. Others leaving spoke about how they enjoyed it and we did, too. When leaving had another friendly visit and was told about a drive through the old mining area and headed right there. This drive is not for the faint or small car. You travel on gravel roads, some very rough, narrow, and steep, and a longer trip than it looks. But glad we drove it. Recommend museum.

We visited this museum and enjoyed it greatly. They have the best value in the area for stones and rocks etc. so recommend going to their gift shop and checking out Leadville before purchasing rocks and stones in much pricier areas...

The National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum is a must see in Leadville. This is a great attraction if you are looking for an indoor activity. It is also great for all ages! The museum is located in an old school building. There are many great exhibits that highlight mining history and gives you a great look into Leadville's history in mining. Be prepared to see many amazing rocks and minerals from around the world as well as real life exhibits that give you the feeling of being in a real mine. Don't miss the gift shop on the way out where you can get some great souvenirs.
