The best restaurant in town in regards to consistently excellent quality, taste and locally acquired. Never had a bad meal yet. The only complaint would be the smaller portions and higher prices over time...

My husband and I at here on a Saturday night. The food was excellent, however the wait staff was slow (which we did not mind because we were just having a date night and hanging out) It is a super cute and romantic restaurant. We will definitely be returning! Highly recommend for a date night

What worked: seasonal ingredients; Asian-infusion.

Highlights from our dinner:

peach martini. Not too sweet but both the fragrance and taste of tree ripened fruit.

The peach-cucumber cold soup was flavorful and refreshing, highlighting the in-season peaches that the locals boast about.

The gulf shrimp over a bed of buckwheat (soba) noodles.

Grilled corn.

Peaches and shortbread dessert. Though not worth $16 for one peach that was sliced. Though it had a pretty presentation.

The shortcomings:

It took nearly 30 minutes to get our order in after being seated. The servers had tables both in and outdoors, so it got off to a slow start. Fortunately, when we let our server know we had tickets to a show around the block, the pace picked up. The table next to us was less fortunate. A larger party of six that placed their order in before us were only being served as we started dessert because their server forgot to put in their orders.

We ordered a featured starter that was described as tempura salmon and eggplant. The baba ganoush was very good. The salmon had no flavor. not even from seasoning. It was not tempura. it was overcooked. A person other than our server came over about five minutes later with a third piece of fish stating he did not want us shorted on the order. We sampled that piece hoping to find the missing flavor.

We wondered if it had been something that had been resurrected from the freezer. Our server stopped by to check on it, so we let her know about the salmon. She offered to find us some sauce. We declined. She then offered to take the fish away.

i knocked over (but did not break) one of three glasses in the wine flight, spilling on the floor. Our server came over with a paper towel, but no inquiry as to whether they could refresh that glass.

At the prices charged at this restaurant, the service is not on par. Fortunately for our neighboring table, the salmon offered for the entree appeared to have come from the ocean and not the freezer.

The food is very particular and you must have a pallet for unique cuisine. I found the portion size to be small for my taste and not fond of the flavors especially when considering the price. It was dads birthday and he likes it so we went.
