Our family and friends rented 3 adjoining campsites in Mountain Park Campground for 5 days over the holiday week end. We all had tents and canopies There wasn’t much shade and we had very hot days. That said, we were right on the Poudre River so we cooled off splashing and tubing in the water. Several of us fished and caught some trout so we had a great time

We walk the Trail already 3 times a week. It’s a nice clean, safe trail. It’s a great way to escape the stress of every day life.

Awesome June Rafting Trip on the Cache La Poudre River
Family of 4 with 2 teenagers. It was our first time rafting and it was awesome. We went for the lesser intense of the two options and it was a rush. If it's sunny I recommend sunglasses with a band to keep the secure. I also highly recommend some hiking pants. You WILL get wet. The river was a little high so we took two shorter passes rather than a longer one because of the bridge.

River, streams, trails, and peaks. Terrific place to drive and hike. Hydrate while hiking and carry snacks. Great place for a picnic.

I am a repeat visitor to this scenic drive. I have driven here many times and on one memorable occasion spent the night solo camping after arriving at a secluded spot on my bicycle!

Colorado's mountains and streams always take your breath away and Cache La Poudre River Canyon is no exception.

Before you do this drive or bike ride, I strongly recommend you tell friends where you are going what color clothes you will be wearing and such details - especially if you are thinking solo. This is just a precaution. The mountain sides are steep and rugged.

On the fun side minimally Google this place; the Colorado State University Library and the Ft Collins Public Library offer books you might want to read before doing the canyon.
