have spent a couple on nites here almost every year for the last 10--the manager/host, S.O.B. (that stands for "sweet ol' bob) is great at what he does--very genial, helpful, and fun to visit with--your stay there includes discount coupon for Tremble Hot Springs and Spa across the road--it is a nice, quiet, clean place to stay--laundry--the only thing that would make it any better would be the addition of shower facilities--

This small park is very nice if you want the basics, electric, water, sewer, and laundry. Park host, Bob, is very helpful. This was our second stay at this park. The Trimble Spa is across the street but we didn’t try it.

Westerly RV Park is located about 7 miles outside Durango, Colorado. The RV Park has electrical, sewage and water hook ups, but has no central bathroom or showers. The Park host is an amiable man named Bob. Bob is very knowledgeable of the Durango area and is available the majority of the time. The Park has a laundry room and across the street is a natural hot spring called Trimble Hot Springs. (See review). Children are permitted in the Park as are pets.

Thanks for the feedback. We feel very blessed to have Bob & Kay hosting at our park. I’m glad you enjoyed Trimble Spa & Natural Hot Springs – it’s a lovely place. We hope you will visit us again!

This is one of those places that require you to read the small print carefully
This is not a cheap place to stay with the RV, and as it has no bathrooms/showers and the WiFi is barely working, you do not get much for your money
I am sure the Trimble spa is nice, but it was closed on our visit (due to the forest fire). The owner did scream at us when we walked our dogs in the parking lot, alleging that we had allowed them to poop on her grass
The other reviews speak to Bob and how friendly he is. That does not make up for the fact that the place is barely worth staying at

I'm sorry you were disappointed in the lack of bathrooms and showers at our park. Unfortunately it's not practical for a small park like ours to give up space for such facilities, as stated on our website. Our focus has been rather to provide larger landscaped sites for fully self-contained RVs.

At both exits of our park we have very visible signs asking our guests to please not walk their dogs on the Trimble Hot Springs property. They have experienced ongoing issues with people in the neighborhood walking their dogs there and leaving poop. Also, the fire was a very stressful and disruptive time for all and temperaments were stretched to the breaking point. Generally the manager at Trimble Hot Springs is a very congenial person.

It's a shame you could not take advantage of the hot springs during your stay. Our guests receive very generous discounts and it is a wonderful place.

As we pull into the Park, I notice an old trailer with sign “Camp Host” and a Subaru covered with stickers parked in front. Soon, the Camp Host himself shows up running, to check us in. He is from Belgium and he is a jazz musician, or so he claims. He provides us with all kinds of coupons for the Trimble Hot Springs across the street (separate review) and offers more for the near-by golf course. The park has nice scenery and it is quiet.
